I usually wouldn’t review stuff low because I want to give the chance to succeed to a newer business, but I was not impressed with their Saw (Psychopath) escape room. As someone who has done well over 50 rooms with a fairly good success rate, this room was challenging…but for all the wrong reasons. There is a lot of red herrings and this room has some of the largest logic leaps I have seen in an escape room in the six or so years I’ve been doing them. I won’t get into details out of respect for the business, but when I say there are massive logic leaps…there are massive logic leaps. If you move an object out of place, there is nothing to tell you that it is needed and nothing to put you back in the right direction. There was something requiring outside knowledge due to poor labeling. Some of the props were not efficient in giving clues, and a lot of the problems require guesswork rather than being led in the right direction. This was a very non-linear room, but there’s nothing at all to go off of. It’s pure guesswork and rearranging numbers and things until it “works.” There was practically nothing new for me as an escape room enthusiast, but my group found a lot of things unsolvable because of the logic leaps to get to the answer that is wanted.
I can’t speak for other rooms nor the axe throwing yet. I will change my review should I return here and find enjoyment out of those, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with the room we did, and that’s not because I’m bitter we lost. I know even if I had an extra 45 minutes on the clock…we still wouldn’t have got it probably because of the leaps without needing excessive hints. That’s poor design in my opinion.
I’m happy Hagerstown got something like this, but I can’t support something that doesn’t make sense to me. If the people that work here want to reach out to me for actual feedback and discussion, feel free to, but it didn’t seem like they cared when I tried to give...
Read moreA group of 4 of us did prison break escape room and it was an absolute terrible experience. We all are relatively experienced and have done several escape rooms across the country, and were disappointed the second we walked in. The room was small and dirty with no thought into any of the few props that were in there. When we asked for a clue, it took them a few minutes to get us one. The clue that was eventually given was for a part of the room we couldn’t even access yet, and were inaccurate. The girl’s response at the end when we asked about the clue was “oh I didn’t realize that was there in the room”. She proceeded to have no explanation for questions we asked about other clues or parts of the room that didn’t make sense. There was zero creativity or progression of story line. The whole thing was based off of guessing random things in the room that would go to random locks etc.
We were all incredibly frustrated due to the experience, so we asked to leave a few minutes early. When we tried to leave the room, it was locked and we had to wait at least 2 minutes before we were acknowledged by someone to be let out. Huge fire and safety hazard!!

Read moreEscape room: The room was hot and small. The puzzle itself it was challenging and interesting. However, the props were literally duck taped books with the titles written in sharpie. I’m not kidding. The positive notes are it was clean (bathroom and actual escape room) and the two employees were kind and attentive.
The other props were in poor condition as well. We were disappointed in the experience because we’ve done other escape rooms and they had interesting props/clues and the items were high quality adding to the ambiance and adventure.
Business Ethics: At the time of booking, we were charged for my four year old son. Upon arrival to the facility, a sign was posted stating kids five and under are free. Understandably, I asked for a refund. I was given the owners information and told to contact her. The owner has not responded to my phone calls nor voicemails. I’ve opened a claim with the BBB because I’m not sure how else to resolve the issue. UPDATE: OWNER RESPONDED...
