CVS Pharmacy — Attraction in Half Moon Bay

They’re ok, just slow, if everything goes exactly right. If something goes wrong, which often seems to with this location, then they are unreachable and unhelpful. Somehow, they managed to be out of amoxicillin, an incredibly common antibiotic. They did not let us know they were out of stock, and when we showed up said they would have more the next morning. Next morning they could not be reached by phone. When we got there they said they didn’t have it. When we asked to transfer the prescription, they were so annoyed that they actually decided to look and then “realized” they had it in stock. Then they had us wait 15 minutes for a few pre-made pills - the pharmacist had a very put out attitude about the whole thing and rather than hand us the pills, filled it in a bin a so we had to wait for an alert on our app and to stand in line again. This is just one example. In general, they often have issues and make it very inconvenient and unpleasant to resolve them. If I could give them a zero star I would. The phone menu system to get to the pharmacy is bizarre and illogical. When I finally got there, I was not able to speak to anyone. I was simply put on hold and routed to the prescriber voice mail, although I am not a prescriber. I did receive a call back but the person answering rushed me and acted like I was a bother and did not want to take the call. He assured me my Rx would be delivered soon (I have Covid and cannot come to get it). It is now 8pm and it still has not arrived. Very convenient store. I came to half way moon to celebrate my birthday. When checking in our hotel, I realized I forgot some personal care items. We drove back out here and went inside the CVS Store and found evrything we needed, plus we were able to buy a couple of sparkling wine bottles to celebrate.
