Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Half Moon Bay

Out of ordinary to write a bad review about Baskin-Robbins but here goes: On Sunday, Mother's Day 5/10/20 I went to Half Moon Bay location to get a milkshake. There was a young man customer before me with the freezer door wide open, he had his head inside the freezer looking at cakes while talking on the phone, with NO MASK on. The sales associate was standing literally right next to him explaining the cakes. After he left, I brought it to attention of Manager on Duty she didn't seem to understand the safety concern stating it was "OK because the cakes are in boxes". Not being able to trust safety protocol at this location, their inability to enforce mask requirement, social distant requirement, I left without milkshake, which was no longer appetizing.

Apologies to other unknowing customers who may have purchased a Mother's Day cake to not have reported this sooner. I have been trying to get return calls from Corporate Headquarters since May 10. 2020. Telephoned Corporate 4-6 times, each time assured by apologetic, script reading telephone representative a Manager will call me back, then doesn't. It is June 11, 2020 still no return phone call from Corporate despite they have my case on file, each call noted a Manager will call me back.

Listen, this place is a total sham! They were wiped out of almost every topping and still had the nerve to charge me 15 bucks! My crush—bless her—just wanted a simple single scoop, and they tagged it at $4.25! Can you believe that? It’s an outright heist. I wish I could grab my cash back. Steer clear unless you’re keen on throwing your money away for barely a few bites. And if that wasn’t bad enough, there was a disaster scene outside while we were there—two guys throwing punches outside some van. The nerve of some people! All around, it was a severely disappointing experience. Don’t bother with this joint unless you fancy...

Might've been because it was late at night and possibly the last customer... but i got the worst milkshake of my life--for my wife. Think milk might've been sour. Tasted terrible and wife felt sick, after. Wife stopped drinking, i tasted and apologized to her. Figure Baskin-Robbins ice cream still safe--as it is packaged--but will never buy another milkshake... and, sorry--as i tend to ONLY take time to write glowing reviews. Hopefully, the owners-workers will look into why such a terrible milkshake. Worst ever, by far... at premium cost. And to think, I chose "real" over MacDonald's and Burger King... never again. Hope...
