Don't ever buy anything online at office depo. The return process is one of the worst experience I ever had . On 8/16/2024 at 2.30 pm I tried to return a labtop with a recipe the employees says she can't return it at the store,after the website says fast and easy return guarantee. She said that I needed to call customer service to get a ups label to send it back. I bought the labtop same day delivery came in within a hour. I bought the wrong labtop so I wanted to return it. After customer service pushed me around for a hour finally I was able to get a return lab. Customer service was horrible they all seemed to not care or wanted to help just like the store did. Today is 8/23/24 and I still have not received my refund. I call again customer service to see why they have not returned my money they said they had a system error. But know one even call me to inform me of this. And they didn't even try to attempt to re issue my refund. Office depot now has the labtop back. And I have no refund or item. I called ups and they said on 8/19/24 at 11.07 am they received there labtop. So why I have not received my refund yet still. There is no pending of this showing my refund. So office depot to my money and has the labtop and I got stuck with nothing. This is stealing from customer. If I would have never check my account they would have just left it like this. I want my money back or I would have to file a small claims court or call the police to retrieve my money back. This is called stealing. Office depot states that it was there fault. And they will re issue my refund. But till today they haven't even attempted to do so. I don't understand why Office depot is doing this to there customers. This is not right and someone needs to put a stop to this company for there actions. This is very unprofessional of them. I now need to keep try everyday to try and get my refund back. But everytime I call they say another excuse on why they couldn't that day. Why are they doing this not wanting to return my money. I bought the 8/15 and returned it 8/16 next day and tried I'm store like the website said to do.today is 8_24 and still no refund back.i need corporate to get involved in this to help me get my refund back. Read moreI had a terrible experience with an item that I purchased in this store. I never bother to rate items that I either buy online or in store. But this is a situation that has really upset me. I went to Office Max located in Hallandale Beach, FL. and I purchased a cabinet Dakota Oak to place books. Right after I made the purchased, one of the sales associates advised me that I was better off having someone from their store assemble it for me since they would not make themselves responsible if I was unable to do it on my own and if something breaks in the process and the fact that the material of the specific item that I was purchasing was fragile. In addition, they advised that they did not have the item requested in the store, so it would take between one to two weeks for me to get it. So I got worried and I asked for an estimate, once they came back with the estimate I decided to return it since it was out my range, I also return it because I was afraid of assembling it on my own and perhaps something could break. Once, they attempted to issue a refund, they advised that they could not do it since the item was not in the store, that instead Office Max will send me a check in the mail. I asked how long does it take? they replied a bout a week. and I said okay and I left the store. It has been two months since and neither I have still not gotten my refund nor anyone from Office Max has contacted me. I went to the store twice after it and they advised me that they send the check and nothing. Then I decided to call and the customer service representative named Christina was very rude to me and said she did not have control over it, that there was nothing she could do and to wait for someone from Office Max to contact me. Guess what? no one has contacted me and I still do not have my refund. I do not understand how hard can it be for them to refund a customer $200 either by check or by mail. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience at your Office Max store located at RK Diplomat Center, 1771 E Hallandale Beach Blvd, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, on the morning of December 4, 2024.
I visited the store with the intention of purchasing an office desk – the Axley Desk (SKU 8878112), which was clearly labeled and advertised for sale at a discounted price of $89.95, down from its original price of $247.49. The sign indicated that the desk was being sold "as is," and there were multiple desks available under the same deal.
However, after making arrangements for a vehicle large enough to transport the fully assembled desk, I was informed upon arrival that I could not purchase the desk at the advertised price. I was told that I would need to pay the full price for a new, boxed version of the desk. This was not only misleading but felt like outright false advertising.
To make matters worse, when I politely asked to speak with a manager to resolve the issue, I was met with unprofessional and rude behavior from the employee. Not only was the employee irritated, but no manager ever appeared to address the situation. The lack of customer support, the unprofessional attitude, and the failure to rectify the situation were completely unacceptable.
I feel deeply misled and frustrated by this experience. False advertising, poor customer service, and rude behavior from staff members at this location have left me with no desire to continue shopping at Office Max. I expect this issue to be addressed and the proper actions taken to prevent this kind of behavior from continuing. I will file a complaint with better business Bureau and Florida District Attorney...
