If you like to shop at a game store with no respect for customers, bad customer service, and lack of professionalism, this Gamestop is for you. I pre-ordered far cry 5, i thought there was a midnight launch. The mall enacted a strict curfew after recent events. Security forced us to leave. Turns out the midnight launch was at 9pm. The next day i returned to pick up the game and i have brought this up to the associate named Zack. Zack told me about the change of events. Another associate with Zack commented on the security and stated that the "the mall security are mean", and neither apologized. Zack stated that the store should have called me and let me know about the pre-order and news on the game launch. Zack also admitted that they didn't get through the list to let customers know. I ordered the game on disc with the season pass and deluxe downloadable content. Zack charged me for the digital copy of the game. I asked to return the game, to rebuy in disc, but Zack refused with a bold "NO". Zack did not try to compromise nor resolved the issue he said NO he can't authorize. However, his fellow associate recommended him to allow me to return the game. Zack still refused to provide customer service. He treated me like an idiot. Zack did not seem to care at all. All for a game which i could have downloaded in my xbox live the night before to avoid any issues. I trusted this store so i pre-ordered a hard copy with all dlcs. Only to be treated like a criminal by mall security the night before, and treated as a dummy in this Gamestop the day after. I will no longer do business with this particular Gamestop. I typing this review so that customers will know and understand what they will get shopping there. And customer service, respect, and professionalism...

I purchased a NEW game at a different location the day before and tried to return it here with the receipt (out of convenience with other shopping at Mills). But the employee insisted I couldnât return it because it wasnât in the original case. I explained that I was returning it EXACTLY how GS had sold it to me the day before, in a white paper cd sleeve with a barcode sticker that said NEW on it. I never received the plastic case, which I was told at purchase wouldnât be an issue.
But this employee was so smug / rude about it, telling us âThereâs no way youâre getting a refund, you can get $15 store credit.â Again, I explained I bought the game less than 24 hours ago AND had my receipt, it was never even inserted into the console, and I was sold the game in this paper sleeve.
She said âWell we never would have sold it like that, if itâs actually new it comes in a plastic case. Youâre not returning that.â Like she genuinely believed I took the time and effort to âforgeâ a GS barcode sticker AND my receipt with $400 worth of other purchase on itâŠ.all to pass off a game as new and return it.
So I drove out of my way and took it back to the store that sold it to me and what do you know, I was able to return it without question and without...

During the time we were browsing, the two employees behind the counter were talking about their other coworkers who weren't there- loud enough for us to hear. Talking about how someone was just fired for harassment towards another employee. Then while we were looking at pokemon and one piece cards, the female employee was talking about how people waste their money buying one piece cards which upset us because it is a hobby of ours. I was joking with her at first to get her to stop talking about it but continued to bash it the ENTIRE time. The male employee said that we could purchase only two packs per customer, and the female employee told us because we walked in together, we could only purchase two. They kept going back and forth confusing us. Her tone was rude and obnoxious that it ruined our experience. Luckily she checked out our order and her name on the receipt is "Jahneese." Please be more firm with informing employees of the rules at the store. Be more aware of who you are hiring. They are CLUELESS when it comes to customer service. It's also a mess...
