Staff when I was checking out was not very friendly also heavily urged me to purchase the membership. She stated it would save me off my total and my total would be less even with the additional purchase of the $25 membership. But actually the membership purchase increased my total so I was duped and had already completed the process so I couldnât get out of it and honestly thatâs on me for not being more alert to these scams. I do not read that often and will not benefit from the membership but signed up due to the young lady stating I would be at a lower cost. Then I asked if it was going to automatically renew, she said no it doesnât. The next day I double checked my user profile after having to make an account and it does auto renew and stored the credit card I used for the purchase. I wish she told me the truth about that, otherwise if I didnât double check I would be charged the next year another $25 due to the system storing the credit card I used that day. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope she did not select auto-renew on her end because on the website if you sign up it makes you select during the sign up process to auto-renew or not. In conclusion, Iâd read the membership benefits of this program online rather than doing it in the store in person if it is of...
Read moreI'll be honest, I didn't even know these were open, so I stopped by out of curiosity. The good news is that the selection is pretty good for a brick-and-mortar store. The other thing I want to give the store props over is that the cashier knew how to take a "no" for an answer when it comes to signing up for the whatever membership. Major props there, since I've literally stopped going to some stores because they wouldn't ring me up if I didn't accept and buy into their optional membership. The reason for the rating is...well...you may want to remind your cashiers that discussing other customers' mental issues isn't their job. I don't mind waiting in a queue for a bit longer if someone takes a minute or three to fill out the form for the store membership. If that customer has some sort of mental issue and they want to share it, that's their prerogative. A cashier saying something like, "Sorry to keep you waiting. They had Down's syndrome" is just...
Read moreUsually when I come into Books-A-Million over here I gander over to the board games and counter. Always nice and clean on the inside. Staff is always great. Never complained about the selection or what not.
But one thing always concerns me and that is the bathrooms. It's almost as if nobody cleans... I've been here multiple times and it's usually when I have to go to the bathroom for some reason haha nonetheless. I don't think this is really acceptable. If you ask me it looks like it hasn't been clean in over a month. Whenever I am at a gas station the PA system usually sends a message that everyone can hear that says can I get a courtesy check for the men's and women's bathroom and that usually cycles a quarter an hour. I'm not sure why we can't have the staff here at least twice a day, go Clean the bathrooms. Sincerely, every customer would greatly...
