World Market — Attraction in Hawthorne

Do not under any circumstances order curbside pickup items from World Market if you need an item quickly. I placed an order 45 minutes before closing only to be told by the manager that orders take anywhere from 60-90 minutes to drop to their fulfillment system to be picked. When I asked if I could just simply grab my items and show him my proof of purchase at checkout, he said no. When I asked if he could cancel my order he directed me to my order receipt for a link to cancel on my own that was mysteriously non-existent. Thankfully he offered to cancel my order when it was received on their end but not once did he or any of his employees in ear shot offer to guide me to my items to locate them more quickly. I spent the next 30 minutes of time scouring the store for 2 items that ended up being right at the register the entire time. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. The manager (middle aged, black, heavy set with a beard) has no interest in delivering world class customer service and is generally lazy and incompetent. Today I feel very happy to be treated like a person. I ordered an online pickup and was treated very well from the moment I walked in to the very end. I was in the area and my online order wasn’t ready yet. The lady that deals with online orders was totally amazing. She helped me out by asking another employee to help me out since my order wasn’t ready. Michael is such an awesome guy that helped me with my orders. This is what you call a great customer service! I placed an order online & realized I chose this location which isn’t near me. I contacted World Market to cancel my order and instead this location marked it as picked up. I’ve contacted customer service & they just tell me it’s showing picked up. I can not receive a refund for my order and no one is able to help me. I’m so upset & can’t believe the lack of help I’ve received. I use to love world market, but I will never be shopping there again.
