The Uphill Grill — Restaurant in Helena

WOW. Possibly best fish tacos and breakfast burrito of my life, and I don't make a claim like that lightly. Awesome, friendly staff, with spot-on recommendations. This place is a GEM!

Was in town for two nights only and we ate here twice. It's that good! I don't know how grilled white fish can be so tender on the inside with the perfect amount of light crisp on the outside, and I thought my local spot in SLC already had the best fish tacos in the mountain west. I was wrong. Helena has it.

And that chorizo breakfast burrito!? Im generally not big on breakfast burritos or standard egg and potato breakfast they made me a believer. Even the basics of egg, cheese, and hash browns were not only cooked to perfection, but the taste/flavor of each was brought out on point. There is some SERIOUS magic in that grill.

When they say "best breakfast burrito of your life" it's not a joke!

The breakfast burrito. Wow. It’s huge. It’s amazing. It’ll fill you up for the entire day. But, save room for the cheesesteak. Best in Helena - by far. Add the sriracha Mayo - to everything. They also have a food truck that’s occasionally out at events - when they have the smash burger get that too!

Friendly owner and staff who enjoy serving customers. And they’re proud of their business. The owner knows where his food comes from. He knows where the spices that go into the delicious chorizo come from. You’ll see him at the grocery store shopping for the next day. And the food is very reasonably priced.

Food was very good, large portions. Lots of healthy options. Our first time ordering. Friday afternoon. Called ahead first to be sure they were open and person who answered just sounded irritated, reminding me that they close at 2. I was friendly to her and had a small simple order. Gal at pick up barely spoke. Likely the same person. Seemed like she was having a bad day. So I asked how she was and her crass reply ..."it's great now because we are outa here in fifteen minutes".
