I stopped by the Multi-Gym at about 8:45 this morning and met the staff member "Braxton" at the lower level check in. He was terrific and very helpful. Then asked a few of the female life guards about the programs they were also helpful. There were maybe a dozen swimmers of various ages in the competition pool. I then walked up the stairs to the indoor pool and it had several babies and parents in the shallow end. A few swim lane were open. Wandered through the men's locker room which was empty and tidy to the main hallway to check out the aquatics desk programs where "Hunter" explained it all. They no longer publish those big books that list all the classes, fees, etc. it's all online now. I then proceeded to the main desk to ask about how many could teach classes. "Anna" delightful 16 yr old young lady happily answered my questions and obtained assistance from Felisha. The staff from beginning to end were very friendly and helpful. The sounds of children playing and interacting with staff took me back to my childhood and I suddenly smiled and felt young again too. Thanks...
Read moreOne of the worst facilities in the country I have been to. Seems they are closed more than they are open. And why is a rec center closed weekends, evenings and holidays when the kids are all out of freaking school? The men's locker room is a dive. The floor fills with water due to poor drainage and your walking through a half inch of water in your dress shoes. This facility closed several times in the last year for remodeling... and yet they don;t remodel. They added a new useless aquatic desk when they already had a perfectly normal front check-in area. Whoever is running this facility needs to take his/her head out of their ass because this is the most useless rec center I have ever been to. When I first moved to Henderson in 2014- seniors could shower free and pay $1 for pool. Not they have upped the fee to $3 bucks for both and the facilities are in even worse condition than they were when it was free. Just a useless administration here. You would be better off going to Henderson;s other facilities which seem to be run a tad better and cleaner....

Free weights, three benches, Smith machine, stretching cage and various-sized fitness balls for stretching/balance training. Just added are two Peleton Fitness bikes with software suite and a second Sci-Fit Arm Bike. The staff are friendly and helpful and all the gym areas are cleaned and consistently maintained. I have not used any pool areas or locker rooms. Attached is an indoor walking track and a full-size basketball gym for sporting activities. Plenty of parking and hours are agreeable with my daily work schedule. Very nice view of Henderson and the valley from large 2nd floor windows. Multiple tv screens that vary sports/news progamming daily. A comforatable space, never over-crowded or loud music/horns etc. See...
