Not So Shabby Marketplace — Attraction in Holland Charter Township

My husband and I decided to take a Day Trip into Holland because we love Antique Shopping. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary on the day we went 3/31/2025. As soon as we pulled up to the adorable storefront, I knew I would love it! We walked in and we were immediately met with friendly ladies. Their names are Caroline & Lori. Super helpful & friendly. The store has about 67 Vendors. It’s clean, organized, and priced fairly.

The store was filled with so many beautiful items; some antique and some new. I decided on some beautifully handmade Easter Pillows. I adore them!!

Lots of lovely booths with vast items. But we like to just go exploring, to window shop and find cool ideas for when we buy a home and are more financially sound. It's a way we spend our time together day Dreaming of the future. However... We always feel uncomfortable and pressured because they follow us from the second we get into the door, pretending to be other customers in a different booth and watch us as we walk around looking. It feels like they profile us specifically because they don't do this with any other people in the entire store. It's not for the sake of being helpful either because we will carry around a handful of things or talk about getting something off a high shelf, they offer us no assistance. We will stick to places such as Changing Thymes and family-owned...

We did a lawn space today at Not so Shabby. It went okay. But what made it a great experience was that Jackie (I believe she is the owner) was walking around & checking stuff out. She saw that we had a table for sale & wanted to purchase it. We put it by the side door & were surprised an hour later when we got a phone call that the table had been stolen. I asked if she would like some of her money back & she said that it was not our fault & that we could go & have dinner on her.
