Beware! After having a bad experience at this location, I read all these reviews see what others wrote about it. I must say that I agree with the reviews about poor management, bad customer service and the lack of enforcement with regards to customer's cleaning the machines after use. The gym itself is average if you are not looking for much. However, customer service is nonexistent. I'll give you 2 examples. I was forced to buy eye protection for the tanning bed. This is a standard recommendation in all tanning salons, however, the front desk clerk went out of her way to make me prove to get I had them, even when I told her I did. After I showed her, she made no appology. One reviewer mentioned this about not making the customer feel like he/ she is lying. I have had several employees go back and forth with me, talking over me and this is a bad business practice. Today I called and spoke with the regional manager to ask why my credit card was charged 25.00 instead of 10.00 and I was told it was a late fee since they tried to charge my checking account but I gave them the wrong info. Once again, derogatory by accusing the customer of being at fault and also never contacting me to tell me there was an issue. They said they did of course so once again, I must be lying. If the info was wrong in the system, it must be a typo on their part when they entered it into the system. So I said I would go in to show a statement and then I will cancel because I cannot be a member of an establishment who treats the customers so poorly. She responded by saying that was fine. Once again, no attempt was ever made to change the tone in effort to retain a customer. I asked for her supervisor or the owner and was told, they do not provide that info. BIG RED FLAG!!# Despite the owners occasional comments here on Google, it seems as though he does not care or he would provide his info to ensure his staff was doing their best. Bad management usually starts from the very top.
Update: I went into the facility to cancel my membership and to prove I gave the correct checking account number because they would not handle this by phone. After the regional manager realized that someone on her staff entered it in incorrectly and after I waited there for 20 minutes to cancel the billable membership, she offered no apology for my inconvenience or for being charged a late fee that I will have to wait to receive back as a refund. Her tone was more appropriate than on the phone but no accountability was taken for their error. In addition, I was not able to attain a receipt for the refund owed and just have to hope it goes through since I have no paperwork to prove it. My husband joined this facility by paying the whole year in advance on a special. If you join, I advise you to take advantage of one of those deals so that you are not subjected to their billing or management should an issue arise. If you don't mind people who don't wipe their machines and you are able to bypass dealing with employees, then this may work for you.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible COVID-19 response This facility and I assume others like it in the Miami area run by the same management team, has taken certain measures in response to covid that make no sense and endanger public health. The gym has changed its hours from 24 to 6-11; this just increases the density of people working out during these hours making social distancing impossible. And its not like they are conducting some deep clean during the night shift the building is just empty overnight. Also, they have closed the showers. I thought everybody understood the best way to prevent communicable disease is to allow people the ability to adequately clean themselves. I guess they think not wearing a mask when someone is alone in the shower is somehow a graver threat than the myriad of people working out on the floor improperly wearing masks next to each other. If they really cared about combating covid they would give out masks to their members for free as many planet fitnesses around the country are doing instead of charging a dollar for them. They also, inexplicably, have a very janky hand sanitizer that is brown in color and quite irritating to use, so people avoid using it. And most bizarre, they do not allow mats in the gym because they donāt want to encourage people to work out on the floor. I guess they think pushups spread covid? So instead, people are just putting their bare hands on the floor (a surface much dirtier than a mat would be) so they can do their floor work. Also, benches for people to lie on are still allowed, so their heads would be closer to the floor than someone sitting on a matā¦but I digress.
