Blue Ocean Snorkeling — Attraction in Honolulu

We booked Blue Ocean Snorkeling on a whim without realizing the owners were Korean, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We were the only Americans on the trip, but that didn’t matter at all—everything was seamless. While the owner and main guide spoke mostly in Korean, their crew made sure to explain and translate everything for us.

We originally joined the tour hoping to see turtles, but we got so much more: dolphins swimming right alongside the boat, seals, turtles mating, and schools of colorful fish everywhere. The owner couple are like real-life mermaids—diving deep with everyone’ GoPros to capture incredible videos of the turtles.

On top of snorkeling, we were surprised with so many extra activities we didn’t expect—underwater scooters, kayaking, paddle boarding, and even sailing on the way back when the captain raised the sails. The whole experience felt more like a fun party at sea, with upbeat music, the owner cheering everyone on, and a lively, welcoming vibe. Afterward, we were treated to cup noodles, cupcakes, snacks, and plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, which was such a thoughtful way to wrap up the day.

We’ve done similar snorkeling tours in Maui and Puerto Rico, but this one far exceeded our expectations and experiences. All those extra touches made it feel truly special. Special thanks to Dustin, who guided us and translated throughout the trip—he really made it easy for us to feel included.

Fantastic experience with Blue Ocean Snorkeling. This place was actually recommended by my significant other who had been on the same tour with her family, and I knew I’d have a good time knowing how picky she can be. Took my extended family on a tour with them and we all had an absolutely great time on board. The staffs are all demonstrated the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, and the equipments were all clean and relatively new including the boat, which is the biggest and the most important equipment of all. We saw so many turtles and fishes, had fun with sea scooter, paddle boards and kayak as well....

This tour was super professionally run. It caters pretty much exclusively to Koreans but somehow I ended up with the group which was a great experience!

I can’t tell you how personal the staff is. They are really and truly amazing! All of them….. I really admire their customer service and dedication to the guests. It is an amazing company with very high standards.
