I would have done 1 star, but 2 stars for some effort that was put in.. I was hesitant to write this review, but as the weeks pass and my hair just looks worse and worse, I can't help but warn others. This was my first time at this salon, I went with Sega because there were a few reviews that he was good. I'm sure he is, but definitely not for me.. first off, he double or triple books himself, because I cam on time and had just finished washing my hair and the next client was already there, so our haircut felt very rushed, which is frustrating considering the $$$ you pay just for a hair cut! I had high hopes, but the haircut was exactly what I DIDN'T want my haircut to be. When he turned me around and showed me the back, I almost choked with seeing how butchered my hair was (he was definitely in a rush as his next clients hair was already washed too and waiting in next chair) .. I didn't want to say anything because there was not much he can do since he was hurrying to move on to the next client. So I touched it out, still tipped a good amount, barely walked out of the salon in time to just cry, my hair was short ish to begin with, now it's short, and butchered. The most uneven haircut I ever got, the layers look super chopping and odd and not smooth, the long A line is lopsided, there's like a chunk of hair missing on one side that perhaps might have been thought to be a layer? As my hair grows (it's been almost a month) the horrible haircut is becoming more apparent. As much as I didn't want to cut my hair shorter, I have to go in to my salon back at home and get a lot cut off inorder to even things out, which makes me wanna cry because I been trying to grow it out! Sega himself seems like a great person, but darn, double booking is a horrible idea if you charge your clients $$$!!! Best of luck to all who come here, make sure your stylist doesn't book themselves more than they can handle, because your haircut will definitely be rushed and most likely not what you want... sometimes, it's better to go to a more low key salon and go to a stylist who really takes their time, instead of coming to a boogie salon where they don't seem to care about the clients much, more...
Read moreWorse experience ever, I booked with Reyn who is supposedly a level 3 hairstylist at this “celebrity salon” as a black woman (Afro Latina to be exact). I’ve never been so humiliated by someone at an appointment for hair which is something women go to feel better about themselves. He ran late and they kept telling me just 5 more minutes. He arrived & didn’t look at my booking info or my appointment notes at all. I booked a women’s haircut that included wash, blow out and cut I added notes to my appointment with details about my hair that it’s curly and not super long at the moment etc just to give heads up and I explained how I wanted it cut. He Asked me what I wanted I explained it to him again which was all in my booking notes, as he was touching my curly hair and analyzing it he said we don’t have time to blow dry your hair this will take too long he said you don’t have to get it done today. I explained to him if you don’t blow dry it you can’t cut it because I don’t want a curly cut I want a dry cut on stretched hair(blow dried) which is what I booked. He kept trying to tell me he can do a curly cut I said nicely not what I booked or how I wanted my hair. He essentially said we can’t do your hair and I had to tie my hair back up so awfully embarrassed as everyone else got their hair done. What’s upsetting is there is no option for an extended time appointment everyone gets their hair done in an hour apparently except for me? So I’m unable to get mine done? They seem to only cater to straight hair and only other ethnicities with those hair types so if you have any kind of curly hair or you are a black women/or male you will have a bad experience and be turned away due to incompetence, lack of skill set, lack of inclusion. A hair stylist is a hair stylist, you either know what you’re doing or you don’t. In Reyn’s case I have no idea what level 3 consist of with him turning me away for having curly hair. All in all just go to another salon guys, it’s 2025 ppl are mixed race with all kinds of hair types if you can’t adapt and do all hair you’re not a hair stylist. Shouldn’t have to fit a description to get...

I had a last-minute surgical emergency in the Honolulu area to be done on my brain and was unsure & sketchy about how big & wide this incisions on my head would look like, despite my Dr giving me a fingerlining tracing of how he thought he might go into my brain. I knew he wasn't a hair stylist & having super-thin hair , I just couldn't envision how my hair would look afterwards or how I was going to feel about myself with the aftermath of Surgical staples or with what little hair I'd have left to work with. So, the afternoon before, I called Salon Blanc "The Celebrities," Salon on 1288 Ala Moana Blvd in zHonolu , HI. (Owner: Allan) to see if they had any openings for my hair apptmt. Due to me being last-minute, I explained the urgency of my Apptmt (NOTE: my surgery was early the next morning @ 4/04/19 @ 08:00). The receptionist there told me she'd try to verify if any of their stylists could try to accommodate or squeeze me in that day & that she would call me bk. She did, but said there were no openings, & after asking again if anything opened up last-minute, could they try to call me bk again & that, if they did, I'd try my best to come right away if they called me. Well, she passed my info to the Salon's owner, Allan, & he went above & beyond to accommodate my special circumstances. As mentioned, Zim not from the area & found them from other great online reviews & he did not disappoint!!! He stayed true to the style pictures ideas I came in with & made it look even better!
