I told APS they was at the wrong door they need to go back to the hospital and investigate them because they the one that's neglecting and abusing patients they got mad because I was saving and protecting my daughter from more abuse and neglect from these hospitals I told them I took her out because they want to leave her in a room for 4 hours by herself no one to watch her closely to leave her by herself that was clearly unsafe for a patient like my child...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh I could write so much⦠but what I will start with is the staff. I went in for an induction, I was in labor for 27 hours, had 12 rotating nurses during the whole process, and had only 2 who were dependable and/or kind. For example, I had a nurse who was changing my pads, and bedsheets because I am in active labor, and if you know, not exactly pleasant, picked up my pad like it had a disease, then out loud say for everyone in the room to hear āugh this is disgustingā and then proceeded to toss it on the ground next to her, and once she had finished, picked it up again, like it was diseased and looked at my family and said āIām sorry guys I didnāt mean to gross you outā in which my mom replied āitās not disgusting, itās naturalā and the nurse just half heartedly laughed and threw it away. When I tell you, the toll that took on me mentally and emotionally after being in labor at that point for 15 hours, was heart wrenching. Ex.2, they put the wrong size blood pressure cuff, so all day and night my blood pressure was sky high, so they were pumping medicine unnecessarily into my body trying to get it to go down, and Iām not even joking an hour before surgery, the doctor comes in, looks at my cuff, realizes they have had me hooked up to the wrong size cuff that whole time, corrected it, and wouldnāt you know, my blood pressure was perfect and remained perfect for the remainder of my stay at the hospital. Like⦠are you kidding me?? Ex.3, half the time when the nurses would tell me I needed to move into a different position, they would just stare at me expecting me to do it by myself while half of my body is literally dead weight because itās numb so my mom and boyfriend would get up and help me move while they continued to just sit there and watchā¦. What are you there for. Honestly. Ex 4. my night nurse, kept telling me to stop crying every-time Iād cry over a contraction that Iād feel completely because my epidural fell out and NO BODY was listening to me when I was quite literally begging them to please check to see if something went wrong, because this wasnāt normal, this pain wasnāt normal. And everyone kept ignoring me until my mom demanded they check and had to threaten to bring the charge nurse in, who later we had to call in and was completely useless btw, and biased to the main nurse who was ignoring my care, FINALLY they checked and sure enough, my epidural was completely out Of my back. In saying that, ex 5. i had 4 failed epidurals, from nothing I did, but lack of experience and/or pure incompetence. 4. FAILED. Epidurals. And not to mention on the 4th one I got that also failed btw, she stuck me with the epidural needle WITHOUT NUMBING ME FIRST. Which of course, caused me to jump and put me at risk of messing up my spine. MY SPINE. If thatās not bad enough, I was practically given no choice in having a C-section because I was physically exhausted from all the many hours of labor, and the Pitocin kept causing my sons heart rate to drop drastically. I had to demand them give me a c-section because they kept trying to push me to go through with a vaginal birth that could lead me into having an emergency c-section anyways, which is far more dangerous for me and my baby, and kept connecting me to the Pitocin and watching my babies heart rate jump up and down, Iām talking 150 to 130 in a matter of seconds, and I again, demanded they stop it and demanded they give me a c-section, we werenāt doing this their way anymore, it was going to cost me my sons life. And if that wasnāt the worst of the worst, I had to have my epidural redone right before my surgery, AGAIN, because it wasnāt working and I could feel everything that was being done to me. Not to mention whenever my boyfriend was in there right before we started, he witnessed the doctors and scrubs doing my surgery simply using freaking germ-x to disinfect their hands instead of washing them up to their elbows and properly sterilizing themselves before cutting into my body. Thereās more, things that I have RECORDED btw Memorial Hermann. DO NOT GO...

Came in for emergency surgery with a recommendation from my DO. I specifically chose my DO by doing my research for the best of the best in Houston. From that team, I was given a brilliant orrhopedic doctor who recommended me to this hospital to go to the ER. He called ahead and did everything he could for me for my arrival to the ER and made certain I would be his patient. This helped in making sure my surgery was with him. This slightly aided wait times because the ER had my info ahead of time, making me easier to process.
This is a 5 star review but a lot of reviewers are mad about the ER wait times.
ā¢ā¢ā¢ EMERGENCY ROOM WALK IN GUIDE ā¢ā¢ā¢
If you are going to this ER by walking in, make sure you are prepared for excessive wait times.
Come prepared, bring water and food if you don't have money or the desire to eat from the vending machines. I will say the snacks and drinks are a good selection, plenty of options, and most people will enjoy what is available if they need to get something while waiting.
Bring a portable charger as there are no outlets available for plugin. That won't change. This is largely due to people going into the ER and not needing it but using it to shelter. I almost left. Another couple decided to leave, about 2 hours later their names were called, which was unfortunate. They had been there just a little less than we were. I spent 9 hours in the waiting room. I was prepared to wait a long time, but at that point, I was beyond ready to be in and in a lot of pain. I actually did attempt to leave but they pulled me back as I requested my IV to be removed and I'm glad they did. Don't leave if you have a serious and immediate emergency. Just wait. Stay strong. You're in the best place.
I'm a self-pay patient, which means I don't have insurance to help with cost, and I don't qualify for gov assistance because I make too much for them to qualify.
There is a big reason there are 5 stars on this review because my treatment at other hospitals do not hold a candles flame to the light here. Even the food was more pleasant than any other hospital I've eaten at, especially because I was able to choose my food, truly a blessing for me.
I was treated just like someone who had top-tier insurance and money to spare.
I was accommodated in full with everything from my medical anxiety, my pain tolerance and resistance to medications, allergies, and every single aspect of my comfort and well-being was completely addressed.
No room for error. No room for lack of cleanliness. No lack of compassion. Every single nurse, assistant, nurses assistant, doctor, trainee, volunteer, and even the cleaning staff did anything to make me feel negative in any way at all.
The care and delivery of their persona in their field didn't feel forced. It didn't feel like they were putting on an act. It felt completely genuine.
The nurses and the doctors at this facility are a special team, be good to them. I spent nearly a week with them.
Everyone seemed to have good and happy relationships, the team was happy whenever they were with me and made an enormous difference for me.
I went to a rather specific section and this hospital is enormous, so my experience here is largely related to the team on the 11th floor of the Rocketship building (I just know there is a rocket statue out front).
If you are coming in for surgery on your limbs, hip, or knee, I strongly suggest this hospital for your comfort, care, cleanliness, and successful recovery.
ā¢ā¢ā¢ EXTRA INSIGHT ā¢ā¢ā¢ Many hospital staff, no matter where you go, are often mistreated by their guests and patients because they feel like they are not cared about. I want you to know that this team cares. I can tell they want to help because I felt the love they have for their work. From floor to floor. Person to person.
From me to any reader who is about to come in, go with love in your heart and spread good energy, and you will find your best solutions and strongest recovery...
