WARNING-DO NOT PURCHASE A MATTRESS FROM THIS STORE!!! My husband and I purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress from Rooms to go at the Friendswood location 3 weeks ago and have been lied to and scammed. Do not waste your money with this company! We were in the store for 2 days speaking with Kai, the salesman. We wanted to make sure this was the bed for us, all of our options. We have had the Serta IComfort mattress for many years and have loved it. Kai sold us on the Temper-Pedic, because he told us we had nothing to worry about, we had a 90 day sleep trial period and all we would lose if we returned it was $168 restocking fee. After 2 days of going back and forth on what we really wanted to do, we went ahead and bought the Temper-Pedic mattress for almost $4,000. We also ended up purchasing a whole new bedroom set. So $6,800 later, here I am writing a negative review. Why? Because Kai and Rooms To Go lied to us! At no point in time in the 2 days we spent in the store were the words, you may ONLY return the mattress to get a mattress equal in price or greater. We bought the most expensive mattress in the store. The manager at this location, she was beyond rude, with zero sympathy or empathy. She kept saying the paper with this information was in the packet. Umm, excuse me?! So what they do is lie to you during the sale. After you purchase the mattress, they give you your paperwork with the no refund policy on mattresses. Yes, you heard me correctly! After you've purchased! Actually, we didn't even get paperwork because the printer wasn't working. Even if we did, at what point is this ok to do to people. We didn't want a full refund. We wanted a serta mattress that we were happy with all of these years. So now, I've canceled our bedroom furniture order completely, so they lost the sale on the bedroom furniture. We are stuck with the mattress because they lied! I'm going to keep fighting the mattress sale. I'm telling everyone to stay clear away from Rooms To Go! The manager is horrible, the salesman lied to us. DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS...

Instead of taking ownership to the issue on the product and treating me like a client who is the reason for their business, I was given excuses about the wood and sap seepage but mind you, Iām the client and Iām not happy with this being the third delivery. I was told by her there wasnāt a 30 day return policy and their manager would decide if they would exchange or let me return the merchandise. I was interrupted numerous times by her in conversation and was taken back by the disrespectful level of speech I was given by her and again, Iām the client, why not just take care of me and my concerns. Then I find out she is apart of the management team. I asked for her name and why she was being combative with me and she said thatās irrelevant and hung up. I drive to RTG (second trip) to get my refund on my card and was told all would be done accordingly and I would receive an email of the return. Then I find out that the card on file in their system was wrong and not the correct number so they would call me and then sent me an email receipt of some complete other customer name, address, and phone number so now I have sensitive private information of some stranger. My level of trust in rooms to go has changed after this experience.
UPDATE : I was told I would receive a refund to my card but it has been five days and still no refund has been given. I have now made my third trip to the store to have been told that their system wouldnāt allow the return electronically, but again, I had to come and find this out since they didnāt call the first day to tell me it couldnāt be done. Now I am at the store and have waited 40 mins while they call their online support since they canāt refund you over the phone. They have to email their online support because they cannot process the refund. I was told to expect a call from the GM John Woods so we will see...
Ā Ā Ā Read more8/9/24 The delivery drivers were lazy and refused to move the old dresser to the hallway! One of the drivers told the other guy in Spanish that he was not going up all those stairs with that heavy furniture and that he was not moving the old dresser!!! I speak fluent Spanish!!! Then instead of leaving the new dresser in the hallway as I requested they took it back outside to the truck. My daughter and I [55 years old lady] had to move the new dresser into my home! I BETTER GET A DELIVERY REFUND OR I AM SUING ROOMS TO GO FOR FAILURE OF SERVICES BREACH OF CONTRACT! They lied saying they don't and can't move the old dresser because it's against they policy. My daughter asked them to move it into the hallway or to the curb and he refused! Every piece of furniture in 12 rooms of my house has come from Rooms to Go and this is the first time that I have been treated so rudely and subpar!! Mattress Mack would have NEVER treated us this rudely from Gallery Furniture!!! Instead of trying to get out of work he could have just done his job and got to the next delivery!!! This experience has left a bad bad horrible impression and I will shop at Gallery furniture from the purchase of future furniture if these are the type of people rooms to go hire!! Then the coward gets on the phone and lies to his manager rather than just doing his JOB! YES I AM APPALLED AT THE UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR THAT HE EXHIBITED! WHEN I PAY FOR GOOD SERVICES I EXPECT TO RECEIVE GOOD SERVICES!!! Rather than just setting up the furniture he took the dresser back to the street and was about to put it back on the truck! If that old dresser which was also from rooms to go was in good condition he would taken it with no argument! The drawers tracks were all broken preventing the drawers from closing. Nonetheless, I'm waiting for customer service to make this wrong right and I will update...
