We've regularly stopped at this store for awhile but have always had issues. Their animal feed bags are always busted and they never have anything in stock, boxes from stocking are always laying around, on top of products, and in isles. They sell mass amounts of chick's, as well as occasionally ducks but don't carry an addiquate feed to support a ducks diet nor do they regularly have feed in stock. Store employees and managers working with live stock are incredibly uneducated, we were looking at chick's months ago and saw one with horrible pasty butt and mentioned it to an employee, the employee responded with, "it was going to die anyways" and did nothing. (We didn't plan for more chickens but bought her and she is a beautiful barred rock and our sweetest hen). Any visit here is always strange and somewhat unpleasant but today was at another level. We were looking at the chick's and as I was bent over to see them an employee ran up to me standing less than a foot away from me, bent down so he was in my face and in a very eerie and aggressive voice shouted "don't touch the chicks" while pointing at the sign. I stood up as I planned to continue looking at the chick's while he stood right beside me staring directly at me. I felt incredibly uncomfortable as this was a very disturbing encounter with an employee, he proceeded to stand over me the rest of the less than 30 second I stayed in the store. This was a very disturbing and uneasy visit which I will not be making again. I understand people cannot handle the chick's for their safety, but as a customer I felt very uncomfortable and not safe in that situation. There are far better ways to handle situations than making customers that uncomfortable. If you have a different store available for your needs I'd recommend...
Read moreThis was the worst Rural King I have ever been in. The store had lots to offer. However, there was ZERO customer service. I requested help twice, and no one would actually take the time to help me. I was not listened to about what I was looking for. There was one cashier who did finally help me (after getting no actual help from the 1st cashier I spoke to). I explained what I was looking for, and he did reach out for help. I was informed where to go locate the item I was asking about. However, after walking around the whole store looking for an employee who was not a cashier, and then giving up.. I was not about to walk all the way back to try and locate the item I wanted. The cashier that did actually help locate where one may be.. could not leave his register as it was very busy. However, the voice on the other end of the radio was not about to help at all.. (neither was the other voice that was on the 1st radio when we requested help) complete lack of customer service. I had to have my son come back into the store to go get what I wanted.. as my knees are bad and all the walking I already did was more than I should have.
I will never return to this location. The employees give Rural King a bad name. Also, whomever was in charge of the baby chick's. There were many dead chick's in the pens. Guess that is okay as well. (At...

I am so frustrated and upset! I rarely ever leave reviews; great, good, or bad...but this has to be said!
I encourage anyone who shops at this store regularly or who wants to learn a little bit more about the company culture to read the pictures below, in order.
And to be Frank, this actually involves two stores, and the online ordering system, making this a systemic issue with all of Rural King as a franchise.
The culture promoted and tolerated within this franchise is disgusting and the lack of professionalism and business knowledge is wholly subpar. I genuinely have no idea how they are as successful and as big of a frandchise name as they are.
If I felt this was a one-off, bad luck, special circumstance issue, I would not have made this lengthy review, but the entire experience screams of this being the cultural "norm", being accepted by employees (all the way up to management), and being a systemic problem within the entire franchise that needs immediate attention and swift correction.
Thank you to everyone who reads the pictures of the full review below and I sincerely hope that this brings about some change within...
