I was kind of hoping this would have been a positive review. I had taken an iPhone 12 Pro Max in for a routine battery swap with an ETA of 45 minutes to 1 hour. The battery was in serviceable condition with 80% health life and the device was in good condition otherwise.
I had an initial appointment at the Barboursville location and was told there were no parts available, so I was sent to the downtown location instead. That was fine, I guess, but it would have been nice to have gotten a notification before having to drive an hour out. Regardless, the repair took about 2 hours instead of ~1 hour.
When I got home, I put the phone on the charger to condition the battery as instructed. That's where the issues started. The phone went into a boot loop after 2 minutes and 50 seconds. As I was wholly dependent on the phone for work, and needed to be in Cincinnati the next day, I had to find a CPR location up there to see if I could get it looked at. Unfortunately, the CPR location on Beechmont Road could not pull up the records of the repairs in Huntington, and after 2 hours, they deemed the phone unrepairable.
Faced with no options and a multi-day turnaround because of the holiday, I had to get a new iPhone at AT&T down the street.
While I would have preferred to have taken it back to the Huntington location for repair, the reality of the situation was that I needed a phone that was fully functional and the CPR location failed in that respect. I have no phone to take back for warranty considerations or even a refund on the repairs as it was traded in, so this review will have to suffice.
Followup: And in a follow-up to my initial review that was posted on Google, I was contacted by Jeff at CPR store in Huntington, who proceeded to degrade my review and harass me for not negatively reviewing the Cincinnati location, and for not having the device re-repaired at their store in Huntington. The CPR store in Huntington simply does not get that the issue at hand was the repair done at their location was incorrect, leading to the device becoming inoperable. And with my travel schedule, I don't have time nor the patience to travel hours out of my way to gamble on the premise that the phone could be repaired.
But hey, have fun trying to convince the Cincinnati location that they were at fault for your repairs...
Read moreUpdate: I received a call from Kevin, the manager, requested that I bring my other two iPads back in and give them a chance to fix them. He also offered to fix the Broken LCD free of charge. I am giving them a second chance. We all make mistakes sometimes. I will update again after the services have been concluded and what my over all review is.
Initial review: I brought in multiple iPads to be repaired with different issues. Two of them only needed the digitizer replace, but the LCD and everything else worked fine. The man who checked them in looked over them and seen that it was fine. One of the others needed both the digitizer and the LCD replaced and he quoted that one at $170. When I came back in to pick up the iPads not only were they not ready, but the LCD on one of them was damaged and he wanted to charge me an extra $100 to fix it. How can they tell me it would be $170 for both when I dropped them off, but the next day it went up to $240. I called around and similar businesses are charging $20 less for the digitizer repair then they are. The manager tried to say the LCD was already damaged, but when it was dropped off it wasn’t. He also blamed his own staff for not being more thorough when checking it. Which is not only unprofessional but also not my fault. His staff checked it and it was fine. I come back to get it and it’s damaged. All my son wanted for Christmas was his iPad’s glass fixed. He was still able to use it and watch movies on it. Now there is a black part bigger than a quarter on it and I will not pay them to fix something...

I've worked with them before in replacing a phone screen- Alex always gets me to where I need to go. He's saved me a lot of trouble and is very attentive to your concerns and serves customers with a smile on his face! Thank you, Alex!
Dave is great too! Very personable. I only interacted with him briefly but he addressed every concern I had with willingness and care. Thanks, Dave!!!
Chris helped me with Data transfer and he is very knowledgeable about everything going on. Thanks Chris!
I'm sure there are others who work here that I didn't have the pleasure of interacting with. But rest assured, I know any of them you'll be in great hands with. I always dread going to any place to get my phone serviced- it always feels like a hassle and I'm always afraid they just will dismiss me, not listen to my concerns, or rush me out the door with a "quick fix" that doesn't end up working.
But these guys are the REAL DEAL. They handle concerns with the utmost care, every time I come in here, and I can't say enough about this team.
Thank you to the CPR team who made it possible for me to get all of my memories back, without hassle. Go to this store for ALL OF YOUR TECH NEEDS! You will not be...
