Me and two other friends were shopping then a few minutes later a guy with orange hair and a beard tells us to be quiet even though we did not make a sound and we were on the other end of the book store from him near another worker, and since we are polite and respectful we say ok even though we didnât do anything but shop. We leave for about 3 to 4 hours and come back 15 minutes before the store closes, we shop and my friend wants to use their gift card so sheâs looking when she sees a color book. It was in a glass container and it had a sticker stating âDo not open ask a workerâ so we ask someone at the front desk and it happens to be the same guy with orange hair and a beard. He takes it out of the case and hands it to my friend she is about to look inside but he says in a loud rude voice âYOU DONâT HAVE TIME Either BUY THE BOOK OR LEAVE!â He had an expression on his face like he was trying to be Stern but he was just being flat out rude. Iâve never came across Someone rude there everyone else was nice and polite to us but him, I think he did it because we are teens but that is still not...
Read moreThe Inner Geek is a fantastic book, comic, and toy store. It functions well as all three of the aforementioned vendors in such a way that gives it a unique identity among Pullman Square. One of my favorite things about the store is how easy it is to order books, if needed, on special order. I have ordered a few books in different editions over the past year or so, and they do very well to make sure that it makes it there and is not taken by other customers. The comic section is full of comic books and graphic novels, both old and new. If you are looking for a comic you remember from childhood, chances are, youâll find it here. The toys are all organized well into sections, and the store uses their own branded packaging for those that are used. I have seen quite a few in original packaging in some areas, but these are more typically collectors items. Overall, if you are nostalgic from a time gone by, wanting to pick up a new or used book, or just simply want a place to browse for some fun stuff for a bit, The Inner Geek is a great, local business to...
Read moreIâve been a customer of inner geek since I was a kid and it has been one of my favorite stores to shop at, not to mention local.. for the longest time. Over the last year I started collecting pokĂ©mon cards, funko pops, and graphic novels and it has absolutely been my go-to place. Even if they donât have something in stock the day you go looking for it, they go above and beyond to find it for you within days. Every employee makes you feel welcome and I check their store out several days out of the week because they always have stuff coming in. If youâre looking for a great local card & comic shop, theirs are the best! I only collect PokĂ©mon, but they have an awesome Magic collection too. Devon, the card guy at the Geek, has helped me grow my collection over the last year and it wouldnât have happened without his help. Iâve made many friends by collecting pokĂ©mon from shopping at their place, as well as the employees. If youâre in town or live local, go shop at...
