A+ gor park and playground. This is a splash pad and playground combination. The splash pad water turns off for good at 7pm on weeknights. Im not sure if its different on the weekend. The playground is open later. Every 10 minutes the water will pause and there is a play button to press. Im sure this is to conserve water if no one is there. There is a big bucket that dumps when full. The playground is right next to the splash pad. The playground is fenced in. The splash pad is not. There are places to sit near the splash pad and an over hang type of thing. There are benches in the palyground area. It is the soft ground stuff that gives a little. There are many different things to do here. A seat zip line for younger kids and then another one for older kids. Slides, swings, great for all kids especially with disabilites. Noise makers and music makers. Lots of safe seats where the parent can be right there with the kid. For all different...
ย ย ย Read moreWow! This place is free? Has shady awning on turf. We went to the playground and I was blown away. All new equipment and lots of it. They have a nice merry go round that has bucket seats so no one flies off it. There are tandem swings so the toddler can swing with another kid or an adult. There is a water splash zone. I would have expected entry fee but there are none. Nice big restroom area as well. I saw on the way in some baseball fields as well. I can see us making this place a weekly visit. We have an 11 year old, a 10 year old, a 4 year old, and a 1ยฝyear old with us when we go. Oh they might be pet friendly as well. Have to double check but we did see attached to the water fountain a pet level...
ย ย ย Read moreIt's a new park and it shows. Lots to do for kids of all ages. There is a splash pad with shade for watching parents. There are areas for picnics, baseball games, basketball games, there are restrooms, and drink machines. There is a walking path around the park and an area for independent exercise. I was most recently there to participate in a concert sponsored by the parks department. This park has a state-of-the-art playground that has lots to offer. You could also spend a lot of time learning about the plants there. Tonight we saw/heard the River Cities Concert Band. On 10/1/23 we heard the Corydon Dulcimer Society play. An ice cream truck came while the band...
