China Bistro — Restaurant in Indiana

This is by far my favorite place for Chinese food in So. Indiana. I always get a special request and they know my number and throughout the many times I've been there, not once have they ever gotten our order wrong. Great food, amazing service. 3/13/21- I wanted to add to this, tonight I ordered and I was running on the clock in my truck which had apparently been messed with... I had placed my order and was going to do some shopping before i picked it up, halfway through shopping they called, it was 11pm, already ½hour after closing time... but because they had taken the time to get to know me over the years, they knew it wasn't a common occurrence and they told me to go ahead and finish my shopping.. they had things to get done before leaving, so at 1145- well over an hour after closing time, I was able to pick up my food... these guys are awesome. They know I've got kids, they knew I was just running behind and they called me twice to make sure I got my food. Now to anyone who said they had bad service... the only way that would be possible is if you were a jerk to them and you had unrealistic expectations of them. Their customer service goes far above and beyond. I'm not saying they would do this for everyone all the time, but they make sure they know their customers and to do that for me was awesome. If i had come home without the food, there would have been 4 kids very disappointed... it just is not possible that anyone has ever received bad service from China Bistro. Not possible. I have heard people grumbling about their long lines and waiting times... well if you behave like a decent human to the staff at China Bistro, they just might end up waiting for you, just like they did for me. Wonderful food, made to order, superb customer service, and some of the most interesting community members around. I suggest you get to know them, its sort of a family business, and the first generation adults are some of the hardest working, and kindest people I've met in southern indiana. Bravo China Bistro! China Bistro is hands down one of the best dining experiences you can have. I eat here at least 4-5 times a month. From the moment you step in, the restaurant impresses with its cleanliness—truly one of the most spotless establishments I’ve encountered. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a pristine environment, which adds to the overall dining experience.

The food is nothing short of amazing. Every dish is consistently fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Whether you’re indulging in their signature entrees or trying something new, the flavors never disappoint. My overall rating is based mostly on the food, which is why you come in the first place. I think the food is pretty good and while I've only tried a small portion of the menu what I've had has been good to very good. It's prepared fresh to order, it's hot and the portions are large enough for most people.

Unfortunately the service falls short. No one here acts as if they're glad you came. I've never seen any employee smile. They just go about their business and you can tell their main business is carry out because if you're dining in prepare to be treated as second class. You'll be waiting as they are constantly packing up to-go orders or on the phone taking orders. The phone is a priority over customers in the restaurant; if you've been waiting and the phone rings they are going to answer the phone first. Now once you're seated and they've taken your order the food comes out reasonably quick but no one will stop by your table after that to check on you. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same. The food and value are what keep me going back but the service is lacking unless you have plenty of patience.
