I've been a member since October 2024. Iconix has some great things about the gym - location, equipment, positive vibes, and friendly staff. But, Iconix has some much needed areas of improvement base on membership monthly fee and the standard/expectations the membership consultant is selling you. Here is my two-cents and a nickel opinion. Let's jump right into this review.
I have visited the gym on everyday at different times and will give an overview of days/times and my workout experience. My usual time is 5AM, weekdays and 6AM on the weekends.
Note: You pay your first month fee, last month, and initial start-up fee when you join. Keep that in mind.
Reaching someone in management is impossible it seems to address concerns, be mindful of that. I was double charged a food item by an employee. It's been months - management still hasn't responded to the double charge. I don't purchase any items at the gym anymore.
Pros Parking is validated for 2.5 hours.
Plenty of benches, machines, treadmills, stairclimbers, and space to workout. Even when the gym is crowded you can find an area to workout. Abundance of equipment.
2 bathrooms/locker rooms for both genders to use, one per floor.
Towels available. Also, cold eucalyptus towels are available #winning. Several stations throughout the gym to grab towels.
Several stations throughout the gym to grab towelettes to wipe down machines that are dual usage with a trash can at the bottom.
Machines are fixed quickly base on my observations.
Good vibes, good vibes, and more good vibes. I fully support and appreciate the good vibes.
Cons Cleanliness, in my opinion, should be top notch. But, the women restroom/locker area on the first floor is unkept. I work out at 5AM, finished by 6:15AM, no reason the restroom/locker area shouldn't be in tip-top condition.
Fellow gym goers can crowd your space during peak hours. Something to consider if you are one of those people who don't like people in your direct to nearby area.
Items left by other gym goers at machines or just in places throughout the gym should be collected and discarded by staff. I see staff restocking towels consistently. I don't see staff cleaning up consistently. The gym is still very new, but, as time passes, that lack of consistent cleanliness will start to show.
Gym goers, pick up after yourself. Not just the staff responsibility. It's a collective responsibility.
Like every gym, you have gym groupies. They walk around but don't work out. They pick up a weight or sit on a mat. They are not there to workout. I like gym groupies - they are entertaining.
Fellow gym goers are friendly. I had one guy even show me a better way to do an exercise. I appreciate him taking the time and providing a teaching moment.
Gyms can be intimidating. Here is my takeaways - Comparison is the thief of joy. Appreciate your journey and your progress.
Don't mirror others, inquire (if you feel comfortable) about their techniques. There is more than one way to do an exercise.
Give yourself grace.
Have fun.
Set your own candace.
I like Iconix... for now. After a year, I will make a reassessment if the monthly fee, amenities, and standard of my expectations are being met.

Your membship employee told me anyone I refer just needs to give my name, and that was done. 1.Where is my 6 months referral credit? When will you communicate the 3 hour parking validation to ALL gym members? It is your job to ensure you communicate through all means available to you all changes and updates to ALL MEMBERS. You still have not communicated the 3 hour validation to all members as of April 2, 2025, that's outrageous. When will you provide an accurate update on the status of the 3rd floor/rooftop amenities (sauna, pool, pool cabanas, outdoor cardio and weight training equipment) *all of which were promised to be fully operational by July 2024 at the time I signed your membership agreement in May 2024. I subsequently asked about the status in August, September, October, November, December and January. Each time getting various versions from you or membership counselor about the fire dept not signing off because you constructed the glass retainer wall too low and it might be a fall hazard, to waiting for materials, to waiting for inspection... its now 10 months since the gym opening. Its giving LIES. It was brought to my attention that you are audio recording member conversations throughtout the gym, class rooms, locker rooms & bathrooms. YOU DO NOT HAVE MY EXPRESS PERSMISSION TO RECORD MY CONVERSATIONS. CEASE THIS ACTIVITY IMMEDIATELY. Full disclosure to all reading this review, the GM terminated my membership within 24 hours of my email above and advised if I go back to the gym he will consider it trespassing. I was always a member in good standing. My membership was terminated because I spoke up about the unacceptable practices of this gym under the GM's mishandling. Today I'm adding addtional details to my review to set the record straight on the owners insinuation my gym membership was terminated for any valid reason, it was in RETALIATION of my email the GM. For the record, I DID NOT USE AGGRESSIVE LANGUAGE OR TONE TOWARD ANY GYM STAFF. All of my communication relating to the issues I outlined in my review were directed to the membership staffer who signed me up and the GM and it was predominantly by email and text message, which was at my request. My first class at Iconix was a spin session led by Ms. Taylar, and it was nothing short of exhilarating! From the moment the music started, the positive energy in the room was palpable. Taylar expertly blended high-energy hip hop tracks with creative house music, creating an atmosphere that was both motivating and intense. The combination ensured that we not only burned calories but also had an incredible time doing it. Her infectious enthusiasm and ability to connect with participants made the class a standout experience that I can't wait to repeat.
Following that, the next day I attended Ms. Denise's Spanish Spin Class, which was another highlight of my visit. This high-energy class, filled with salsa, reggaeton, and merengue, had me leaving drenched in sweat and happiness. Denise’s passion for teaching was evident as she made sure everyone was comfortable with their bike adjustments before the class began. Her attention to detail ensured that we had the best experience possible. The upbeat music kept our blood pumping, allowing us to unleash our energy and work towards our fitness goals. I highly recommend attending both Ms. Taylar’s and Ms. Denise’s classes for anyone looking to lose weight, tone their legs, and leave feeling fantastic.
Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude to the entire hardworking Iconix staff for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The cleanliness of the gym and bathrooms speaks volumes about their commitment to providing a top-notch experience for members.
