One of the worst grocery store in OC area. It carries expired items - I had bad experience with Sabudana, produce items and the latest one is Koshys Ghee (bad smell and the inside of the lid was rusted). What was pathetic is the way manager challenged me and my integrity when i went to him regarding refunding. Here are some of the things he reasoned why he can't return the item - chronologically: "Why did you open the product? I could have taken it if it's unopened." I responded saying how would i know without opening an item and pointed to the fact that the ghee container wasn't sealed. Manager himself tested a new bottle by opening it. "How do i trust you that you didn't buy this else where and returning it in my store". I said, why doesn't he scan the product and match it with the receipt and to this he had no answer. "I could have returned it if its less than $5-6. Now, I can't return this since it's an expensive brand." "Since you are not a loyalty member, i can't trust your intentions" "The manufacturer office is closed now so we can't do anything , come some other day" Finally, when he was exhausted with all the tactics to shoo me away he said "since its not within 1 week, i can't return it". To which i said who do i contact to look into this and take the next step.
I am amazed that a manager of a big store like this is using dirty tactics to avoid any kind of refund or complains...

I told the 2 ladies who were busy chit chatting with each other near the counters that there were no carts and one of the ladies by name " seemaji" responded callously" the carts are outside ". Yes they were scattered all over the parking lot and it seems we have to collect the carts from wherever they are littered in the parking lot . I responded that I see carts are littered but it's not the customers ' headache to go around collecting the carts and asked for the store owner's name so I can complain . Immediately they mellowed down and a man named " sharmaji " who claimed to be a manager came and again said the same thing . I told him it's not my job to go around looking for carts and he accepted and went out and got me a cart . He gave an excuse that the cart puller boy was on lunch ( at 3:30pm)which is again not my problem .there were at least 20 other customers who were silently shopping around with baskets because they had no carts .this is pathetic store with pathetic customer support . Both the lady seemaji and the manager sharmaji should be fired and new employees should be put in their place .I hope the owner is taking note of this and taking the necessary steps to improve customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually don't write bad reviews unless I had a terrible experience. I recently purchases Ganesh Idol from the store which are boxed up. The store doesn't let you remove the idol to see them and make sure they are not damaged. One of the staff member was standing right next to me to make sure I did not take it out from the box. Trusting the store, I went ahead and purchased the idol. Got home and found out the idol was damaged from the bottom and was also missing the broken piece. The store management knew of the damage but yet decided to sell it so they can collect their money. They didn't care of the reputation and bad taste this was going to leave in my mouth. The bad experience of purchasing Ganesh idol. I would will never trust and suggest not to trust this store. I mean who sells broken Ganesh idol to a customer, only a cheap store owner. No wonder they didn't let me...
