This place is just odd. It's like... Kind of has that stepford unreality to it, but at the same time that level of artificial oddly fits in whatever Issaquah is. Now I grew up here, and I was here before the pod people came up from that wierd place they were hatched down south of Redding... But... It's just creepy. Truth be told for the 2 hours that I was there having coffee. I was thinking this would be a great place to shoot an apocalyptic sci-fi show where there's like bodies with rats eating them. That would be super picturesque like it would bring Urban modern American apocalyptica to something that the remake of Red Dawn should be. I don't know. It's really weird.
The one thing that I hope is that when you go there every shopkeeper there look them in the eye and go....

Read moreI passed here with my family on my way to Flat Iron Grill. I couldn't wait for birthday dinner last night at FIG, and this neighbourhood definetely captured my attention.
This little area reminded us of Leavenworth, the German village we've previously gone to. It doesn't have German theme, but the town with small cute stores in Xmas lighting. It looks very different from daytime to night time. This area is perfect for couples and young family with kids. I didn't check out stores; however, Masa (Mexican restaurant) seemed quite popular here.

A fun variety of gift shops, home goods stores, apparel retailers, interactive art workshops, restaurants and more are a real gem, and an attraction that caters to both tourists and locals alike!
