The ABC Warehouse located in Jackson Michigan was not a good shopping experience for us on 8/7/25. We just bought a new home and was in the market for quite a few items...Our initial lack luster greeting should have been our queue to not proceed with a purchase.
Literally EVERYONE was on their phone as we walked in, barely raising their heads to greet us.
Getting genuine assistance was non existent. We did finally have someone walk over to assist us (Mike). Practically everything on the floor we selected was unavailable. We purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer, an upright freezer, Sofa, love seat, recliner, and end table and a lamp. We didn't think about discussing whether or not these items would fit through our doorway.
After Scott, the delivery person couldn't get our furniture through the door, Mike from ABC WAREHOUSE told us he should have asked us about the dimensions. Maybe we should have thought about the dimensions as well. Mike also had us come back to the ABC Warehouse in Jackson to select a different freezer because the one purchased was now unavailable. We waited almost 2 hours in the store until I asked Mike to please credit my account if he couldn't locate one. Mike did finally find one ironically from the ABC Warehouse in Lansing Michigan. The furniture situation was resolved too by the Manager Devin in Lansing Michigan. The delivery person, Scott was extremely helpful. Because the Jackson store didn't have the furniture to fit, he referred us to Devin at the Lansing Michigan location. Devin was so accommodating and thoughtful. With his help, we found everything we needed through phone calls and texting photos to me. Read moreBought a sealy mattress one year ago. The box frame and mattress went bad (which I understand nothing lasts forever) and it has a 10 year warranty. Called and got the claim started had to wait awhile before the inspectors had to come and take measurements. They said this was the second one of the day already and it was only noon. Got it taken care of following by the next day with a call saying that the claim was accepted and a replacement would be issued or could come into the store to look at something different. Replied back saying saying we would come in and see if we have another option. Went to the store that day and mike was the sales representative that sold the mattress to me and was the one that called. Me and my wife go in and we walk to the mattress section. He approached us and right off he said if you go to something different you will have to pay the price of higher and if it’s lower they can’t do it and if they could I would not receive a difference. Ok well I guess that was a waste of a trip we said well guess we will take a replacement. Walked to the counter and he said they didn’t have any box frames in but would get in on Monday or Tuesday and would be sent out for delivery by Wednesday guaranteed said he would call Monday or Tuesday never heard from him. Called Wednesday morning he was not in so he called me back and didn’t have any idea what I was talking about. He didn’t even know that I was getting new box frames. Read moreI've had two failed deliveries that are of no fault of my own. I was guaranteed by the store manager (Kevin) that my w&d would be here on 5/8. A couple days after, I received a call from Matt, stating that Kevin did not fullfil my order correctly, and that my w&d would not be delivered on Saturday. He guaranteed delivery by 5/12. On 5/11, I received a call from Kevin saying that the truck is loaded already and I won't receive my delivery on 5/12. I told Kevin I would be in to cancel my entire order because of this blunder. I receive a call from another manager named Adam or Aaron or something along those lines.
