Public Storage — Attraction in Jersey City

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They are helpful, responsive and do their best to assist within the confines of their roles. The facility is clean, easy to access and while I do wish it was open a bit later, I've always had a very pleasant experience.

An especial thanks to Brad, Dolan and Latoya for their help over the past few months as I coordinated the trip to access the unit. There are a few other staff who were also very helpful, but I don't quite remember their names. Thank you to you all :).

The only concern I had was that the ceiling above my unit was damaged and large chunks of material had fallen into the unit itself. My things were coated with a thick white dust which irritated the eyes and throat, so I ultimately had to remove my sweater and put on mask/eye protection to navigate repacking my things. There were also many moths, which I think comes with the nature of the space but I was surprised at just how much of the ceiling material had broken off and fallen into the unit itself. I don't know what the material was and don't believe it was hazardous, however I know that when I return I'll need to account for cleaning the debris from my remaining items.

Outside of that, I had a very wonderful experience and would recommend this facility for it's ease of access and superb staff. It's a touch pricey compared to other nearby options, but the pros outweigh the cons if it's within...

Update 5 years later:

The management has gone down significantly: I showed up 15 min before closing and wanted to check unit sizes before renting — the reception locked the front door already and directed me to existing customer’s entrance — which I don’t have a code and cannot open. No one came to ask or help. I called the customer service and the representative put me on hold and then hang up.

They don’t need you as a new client, JC is booming and they don’t need to show respect to gain new clients. - will find some other place value and respect customers.

Easy to secure a spot online at great price without deposit. The representatives are very responsive and will call you and confirm with you of your appointment. They are super friendly too and you can tell that they really want to help you. It’s quite pleasant and enjoyable doing business with them. Easy move in and move out. No hidden charge. No surprise. No additional fee. Everything is reasonable and easy to understand. If you get a good quote online, it’s true and there won’t be any additional fees. Organized storage place (very new and clean). Central location and close to everything (you basically could longterm store quite a lot of things here given the nearby rental price). SO LET ME START BY SCREAMING BRADDDDDDD” HE WAS THE BEST he has and had the best customer service I’ve had this year alone!!!! Very helpful very professional and quick to help very informative also! BRAD DESERVES this recognition and all the awards for the very best person I’ve ever encountered in this establishment and I’m not new here I’ve been a customer for years now and came across many!!!! BRAD was great from start to Finish I even added a new unit last min and he was quick to help with process even walked me to my new unit and assisted with helping me get inside! At one point all my devices were dying and bamb let me charge up My phones with no issue no rush again quick to be helpful!! BRAD was warm and thoughtful his energy was what I expect when facing a larger company as U-Haul! He was in fact the first one of many who was behind the desk quick to help with all my answers and quick to come From Behind the desk and help and actually assist!
