My husband and I have traveled to Juneau several times. The church is beautiful inside and out. It is worth the steep hill. Nestled in a neighborhood away from the shops. The priest,Father Maximus was very kind and welcoming. We were able to attend services. The atmosphere is very peaceful and reverent. The choir, along with Matushka Michelle, the priests wife, sang beautifully. Native Alaskans, Ukrainians,Greek - are among the parishioners. The gentleman offered me a tea as this is their hospitality. We were showed around the church and given the history. I noticed the church is in dire need of renovation, so I donated. I wouldn’t count myself in the best shape ha ha, but I made it and it was worth it. This church is nestled in a neighborhood away from the shops. Founded in 1893 .
