Super fun! We all enjoyed it very much, and would highly recommend. It’s so cool that you are allowed to go on a self guided tour. And see where our legislators work. There is so much history on the walls, we couldn’t see it all!
The security guard on duty (that I unfortunately forget the name of) was extremely helpful and gave us all the useful information to find our way around. Don’t skip the documentary on the ground floor, it was excellent and highly educational. Also, there is more on the ground floor, so don’t forget to look at that.
I also got to see a picture of Sarah “I can see Russia from my front porch” Palin, presumably practicing her concept of “chill baby chilla”, so that was pretty cool too.

Read moreA very neat experience and very friendly. It is a self guided tour. The lady at the desk was super nice, I think she gave my wife a stamp for her collection. She was informative too. Told us where to go first. The security officer was super nice as well. We felt very welcomed. In one of the rooms was a 15min video that was very interesting about the history. The post office used to operate on the second floor that is also at street level due to the slope of the street. The capital needed the space the post office was using so it had to go.
