Unfortunately very disappointed and frustrated with our experience. We came in and were seated immediately, however nothing else was done timely. We barely got greeted, water was dropped off at our table a few minutes after we sat down and we were left alone for the next 20 minutes with no check-ins from any of the waitstaff. When we finally did get service, the waitress did not seem knowledgeable about any of the menu items, and usually I give people benefit of the doubt, but after we ordered, all went downhill. We had ordered wine and it was forgotten, we tried to be patient, but eventually had to get someone's attention about another 20 minutes later, and the waitress told us she completely forgot about our wine. She brought us back a different wine without asking us about a substitute a few minutes later because they were out of what we requested and stated that "it was on the house." Our total wait time was about 2 hours for the food, first time she came by, about an hour into waiting, the order was incorrect. After it was sent back, the waitstaff kept coming out about every 15 minutes and letting us know out food would be out soon. When our food finally came out, almost at 2 hours of waiting later, we were missing one side and one main dish was still incorrect. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not make up for the terrible service. The naan was very dry and crumbly and had barely any garlic. When we got our check, we ended up being charged for the "on the house" wine because management made her charge for it. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied with the experience, horrible wait time, unprofessional/unorganized staff, and lack luster food. Best part...
Read moreCame to saffron March 3rd and honestly it was lovely. To be completely honest I had come here years ago and wasnât a fan but man am I glad I gave it a second chance!
From the moment we came in the atmosphere is warm and the smells are amazing. Our server was super sweet and seated us right away. She helped us out a lot when we couldnât decide what to order and her suggestions were great!
Just to start, this Indian food isnât really like Indian food Iâve had...anywhere. But! That doesnât mean itâs not good and is close enough that it still hits the spot. We ordered the Jhinga fry, 3 chutneys, naan, lamb kheema, and the lamb curry(I actually canât remember the last one 100%, itâs been a while đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸)
The jhinga was delicious and served over rice which letâs be honest, I can never get enough rice. We ordered the mango, tomato, and roasted peanut and garlic chutneys. I was surprised that the tomato one ended up being quite sweet but all were delicious and the peanut one packed a punch! I will say the naan is nothing like any naan Iâve ever had in a sort of comical way- itâs very thick and dense, nothing very airy as naan usually is. Probably closer to a paratha really but good nonetheless. The lamb curry I recall being pretty good but honestly the kheema stole the show. It was our servers recommendation and she did not steer us wrong- such amazing flavors and the sort of dish that feels like it must have taken some effort and love to make! The chai- also pretty damn good.

While I walked in with high expectations, the dining experience unfortunately didnât reflect the depth or authenticity associated with the cuisine. The use of powdered spices was immediately apparentâresulting in flavors that lacked harmony and depth. The meats, though tender, seemed inadequately marinated; the signature profiles of yogurt, garlic, ginger, or tomato paste simply didnât carry through. Both lamb and chicken main courses had a watery texture that diluted the essence of the dish.
The naanâpresented as butter and garlic variantsâwas not tandoor-baked, but rather cooked on a flat surface or pan, missing the distinct blistered texture and crispness that a proper tandoor imparts. The dough lacked fermentation and maturity; its aroma and bite suggested either rushed preparation or flour quality issues. If not tandoor-based, it may be more appropriate to describe this as âtawa naanâ to manage expectations.
The masala tea was also underwhelmingâserved lukewarm and overwhelmed by an unbalanced mix of spices, it missed the comforting harmony typically found in a well-prepared brew.
Overall, while the intent is there, the execution needs refinementâparticularly in the foundational techniques that define the cuisine. For diners unfamiliar with traditional flavors and textures, it may pass as acceptable. But for those seeking authentic taste and preparation, the experience...
