Me, my husband, and 14 year old son booked the Peekaboo slot canyon and White Wave tour. Our friends came along after they cancelled their antelope canyon kayaking trip on Lake Powell. This was our only tour that was not cancelled during our trip due to weather and we were so excited. It was March, spring break, and we were not expecting the snow and cold weather. I guess that is what I get for being a born and raised Floridian. We stayed in Page, Arizona, and MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIME ZONE CHANGE, if coming from there! We had to leave a full hour earlier due to the hour travel time + time change (so 2 hours before our tour!). Loved the drive there and when we got there everyone was so nice and welcoming. Our friends were able to make last minute reservations to come with us so that made things even better. Our guide, Baylie, was so very nice and made our entire experience amazing. She was an excellent driver and took us up to white wave first. The weather made the trail there a bit tricky, but she was a champ! We met some other trail explorers up on the mountain in Jeep's and ATVs and they all knew each other and helped each other- which was so nice to see. Even with other people up there, we basically had the place to ourselves. The snow made the rocks slick but fun! It is not a difficult hike but I did scoot down some rocks on my butt to avoid slipping and falling! We then rode down to the slot canyon and there was one other vehicle down there. We saw one group coming in while we were leaving! The slot canyon was beautiful and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Baylie took photos of us and also showed us some fossils and took us to the end of the slot canyon. It was a flat and easy walk. Due to some recent health issues we were concerned about long, strenuous hikes so this is why we booked this combo. We did well and had no issues so if anyone in your party has difficulty hiking, then Peekaboo Slot Canyon is perfect. White Wave requires some uphill walking, but it is a short distance and can be done slowly. The walk up to the Wave rock portion was a bit scary for me due to the snow/slippery surface, but I did it. Know that if you book that part too, get up there, and don't want to walk up the rocks, it's okay! It is still beautiful! Baylie supplied water and some snacks for us too. We saw some deer while driving from our destination too! Baylie is a rockstar guide and if you get her, you are lucky! Thank you so much to Dreamland for making our trip to Kanab, Utah, a memorable one!

I have taken two overnight camping trips with Dreamland and it's the most fun ever! First of all, Dreamland handles the driving, and because they have a fleet of capable off-road vehicles, you get to see spectacular places that you might not otherwise be able to access safely or confidently. Then once you're at the camping area, the guides set up the tents (and all of the sleeping bags, pillows and pads are provided too!). Then if that isn't enough, the guides also prepare delicious meals, and snacks/drinks are always available. I recommend the salmon and the steak when choosing your dinners! So yummy! Special shoutout to Robert for the excellent meals and kitchen vibe. The most recent trip I took was a photography workshop with Cody York as the guest instructor (WELL worth the price for the amount of knowledge he imparted), and the meal times were planned with Golden Hour shooting in mind, and then they even had coffee and hot chocolate available for us when we did a night hike out to a rock formation to photograph the milky way. The guides really went above and beyond for us that night. The weather was really cold, so a quick radio to camp and our guide KC ran us out a bag of warm clothes and accessories at 4am!! In addition to all the luxuriousness of meals and camp being handled, the guides are passionate about the nature and culture of the land, and have extensive knowledge on the history and geology of the area. It's really interesting to learn about. Furthermore, they are all trained in wilderness emergency response, so it's comforting knowing that if something were to happen, they would be able to handle the situation. And last but not least, it's a great way to do an activity with like-minded people, so even if you go alone you know you're going to be safe, and have a great time. The camp vibe has a lot of witty banter, games during downtime, and talking about shared interests with new friends. If you are in Kanab and looking to experience some of the spectacular nature of the area, you do not want to miss an excursion with Dreamland. Also, the owners are badass extreme athletes who have accomplished some incredible things, but are totally down to earth and chill. Go go go, you will not regret it!!

Highly recommend! If you are looking for an unforgettable adventure, Dreamland Safari Tours is where it's at! I just spent a remarkable weekend with their crew, being honored with the 2025 Women's Adventure Award. The staff makes you feel welcome and special! And they won permits to the Wave for us! Woot Woot! First off, the Wave itself – EPIC. The vibrant rock formations look like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. You feel like you're walking through a dream, with dancing colors of red, orange, and yellow —nature delivering the most amazing masterpiece. It’s no wonder it's one of the most sought-after hiking destinations in the world! But what really made this trip special was our guide. Andrea is knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about the landscape. She was also quite emboldening when I needed a bit of a push to adventure beyond the Wave. Andrea kept the group moving forward safely while ensuring we all felt supported and encouraged. She not only explained the history, the geology, and all the little hidden gems that make the Wave so unique, but she captured amazing images our crew of beautiful award winners. I bet she has done this hike a hundred times, yet she still spoke with energy and reverence about the landscape and history. As for my fellow 2025 Women's Adventure Award hiking family, they were fantastic! The vibe was so friendly and fun, and you could tell everyone was there to soak in the beauty and share the adventure together. There was so much laughter and camaraderie—it felt like we were all old friends by the end. Dreamland Safari doesn't just show you the sights – they make sure you experience them, with a guide like Andrea making it all the more unforgettable. They’ve got the magic, the people, and the enthusiasm to make it an adventure of a lifetime. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Dreamland for our extraordinary weekend!

May 19, 2017 My wife, Jeanette, and I had the opportunity to experience many of the great sights around Kanab with Dreamland Safari. This was her first exposure to the great team of tourguides, and my second. We took the Grand Staircase Mini Dream Tour, the Mystic Canyon and White Wave tour, and the Toroweap Overnight tour. In all 3 tours, our guides were helpful, knowledgeable about the geology and botany of the areas, and very patient as we clicked away on our cameras! All the guides are courteous, friendly, and fun to be with. Their packages are a great value, and I recommend them to all my photography and travelling friends as often as I can.

Thanks, Will, and Dreamland Team!

I am already starting to plan for my return trip!

Starting on October 19, I took the overnight White Pocket Photography tour, the South Coyote Buttes tour, and the Slot Canyon Photography Bonanza tour. Will James, Steve Southam, and all the tour guides are top-notch. They all are very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, are always ensuring we are safe and well-cared for, and are very entertaining. Will showed what a fine chef he is on the overnight tour, serving up a delicious steak or salmon, with all the trimmings for dinner, and for breakfast a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, and plenty of coffee. The camp was well supplied with top of the line sleeping bags, and down comforters...needed for the chilly 32 degree night! White Pocket is a landscape photographer's dream. It has so many incredible features in such a small area. We had plenty of time to scout the area before the "golden hour" of sunset. The cameras clicked way into the night, and started early the next day before dawn. Camp was broken down, and the thrill of 4-wheeling back down the sandy road kept our spirits high.

The trip to South Coyote Buttes was another unique experience, and shouldn't be missed. The natural beauty of this area is incredible! Bret Benge, our guide, provided us with at tailgate lunch before heading into the area. He knew exactly where to take us, and to get us there at the best possible time of day.

The slot canyons was a bit tiring, but worth the hike through the soft sand. Each slot canyon was better than the last, with Peek-A-Boo being the last. From a photographer's point of view, these slots offer just as much, and maybe more, than the well-known slots, and are much less populated with foot traffic. I found I could shoot in one spot for 20 minutes or more with very few people passing by.

It is impossible to pick a favorite among the three tours; each one was unique and had astonishing natural beauty to photograph. I highly recommend Dreamland Safari to anyone who wants an experience he/she will remember forever.

Thanks, Will, Steve, and...
