Brown Box Cafe — Restaurant in Kanab

Absolutely delightful! First of all, everything they have on the menu is homemade and made fresh. You just don't get that type of quality anywhere else anymore! Got the Gourmet Sandwich and Tomato Soup combo and it was delicious!! Best grilled cheese I've ever had! The cookie that came with it (Scotchie was my choice) was fresh made and yummy. Finishing the last bite made me crave more. So I took a few bites from my parents' peanut butter cookie that was just as good! And despite still wanting more we had to pause ourselves with the cookies cause we also got the orange roll which was amazing! The staff are so friendly and fast! The ambience and atmosphere were also great. It felt like everyone was just hanging out at a party and was so fun! I also love that the inside sponsored some products from Utah creators and vendors in a small business team effort! Their ice cream was also delightful! Light, creamy, and flavorful! It wasn't the kind of ice cream that is too heavy and leaves you needing to drink a gallon of water after eating it. How do you even hit that perfect of a combination?!? And while the portions are really quite modest, after trying everything they had to offer, I was stuffed and satisfied!

I will be coming back every time I come through Kanab! Writing this review already makes me want to take another trip there just to go to Brown Box (I'm gonna buy a couple pints of ice cream next time and take it home!).

Now, if you've made it this far in my review, you might be thinking I'm exaggerating with all I've written, but I really did love it just that much! So don't doubt me too quickly! Just give it a try and find out the magic for yourself! 😉

The food was amazing and quite cheap, we were able to get a meal for a starving 11-year-old for only about $13 and this included a large grilled cheese sandwich, a cookie and tomato basil soup. After this my eleven year old was chowing down on a slightly over toasted sandwich and she loved it, despite our obvious enjoyment of it the waiters came over and asked if we’d like a different one since it was slightly burned we said oh that was fine and that we didn’t need one since my 11-year-old had eaten most of the slightly over toasted one in about 10 minutes later they brought out a perfect sandwich and gave it to us for free And the service was absolutely amazing They came out extremely quickly with very well-made sandwiches with I believe four types of cheese, a delicious tomato basil soup And a delicious chewy but not too chewy cookie. Keep in mind this was all in around 5 to 10 minutes. The food was amazing and seems like it would’ve taken an hour to Prepare, yet they had it out very quickly. The atmosphere was absolutely Fantastic and there were many motivational signs hanging up around the restaurant a poem that made my family tear up was also on the wall. One of the quotes was. There’s a seat for everyone at the table, even if the table is full and the lighting and building style of the place was absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10...

Absolutely loved this place. Great spot for picking up food after hiking with some awesome healthy options. Dare I say it, they even have fantastic biodegradable to-go containers that I haven't seen before. Very well thought out place with such good food. The grilled cheeses were delicious and had such a great fusion of flavors (we got the jalapeno one and the one with rosemary. So yummy). The tomato basil soup was fantastic with such a full flavor. The salads were also remarkable and the dressing wasn't overpowering. The cookie and ice cream dessert was remarkable and a better version of a pizooki. The cookie was so fluffy and the ice cream was decadent. Their caramel and chocolate sauce was home made and so flavorful as well.
