Recently pawned a watch for 300 dollars on 7-05-2022. When I walked in they offered me a modeling gig to showcase their jewelry where I get paid $300 a shot. I’m excited because that’s my dream career so I verbally agreed. I had 3 months October 5 to get my jewelry out and pay it in full. On the day of the photoshoot, 9-12-2022.. Morgan comes up to me and said we will compensate you by giving you your watch back. I said no, and as we wrapped up the photoshoot, the shiesty man with the black hair comes up to me along with Morgan and says “this is how much you owe.” You’ve accumulated 200 dollars in interest and we will write you a 96 dollar check for the gig. Basically, in order for me to get compensated as a model I had to pay back in FULL the Loan from a watch I pawned from a month ago without my consent.
I am frustrated because they didn’t tell me until after the photoshoot was over. I asked them do you make all of your female customers “model” to pay for their loans. I asked him to show me the contract where this was agreed upon to have me model in order to get my watch back. He couldn’t show me only just the maturity date. 8-6-2022. He said on 10-5 is the last date I had to pay $515. I told him I would pay it in full October and proceeded to write me a check for his amount of $96. At this point, I’m arguing with two grown men in the store about what they owe me and how I was treated unfair. The photographer is feeling uncomfortable and confused. (Sorry Amber).
If you are a woman who they feel is “physically attractive” do not and I mean do not engage in any business activity if you pawn your items in the future. I still had time to pay off my loan in full and they took advantage of me after the photoshoot was over.
I will take the 96 dollars that Morgan and his crooked partner threw at me, and donate it to a local charity. DISCLAIMER: If my photos from this shoot are being used to promote/advertise for this vile company I will take...
Read moreI can not recommend Jewelry by Morgan more. Our daughter got engaged the week before the world shut down for COVID19. Her fiance gave her a family heirloom ring when he proposed but their desire was to get a custom band made to go with it. About 6 weeks before the wedding we went to Jewelry by Morgan. We spoke to Morgan and Scott and they were both so invested in our situation/story/desires. -- Well, it so happens that the company who makes the molds for them was not back to work because of the pandemic. They had to use another vendor. The first two molds broke and these guys worked SO hard to get the ring to my daughter in time for her wedding. They got it done and we picked it up with one day to spare. When I tell you Scott teared up when he handed us the ring, I am NOT exaggerating. He literally had invested so much of himself in making this happen that he was emotional. He told us he had touched that ring all but two days in the last week and half. A piece of him is in that ring. -- These guys seem more like family. Their workmanship was exceptional as well. They didn't just make a curved diamond band to fit with the vintage ring, it had the exact same intricate settings and even the side view matched! I will never go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. And, side note, their price beat everyone else's too. 10...
Read moreThis was my first experience with selling items to a pawn/jewelry store. I was so nervous. They immediately made me feel comfortable and valued. They took their time looking at my jewelry and explained how the process worked. I’ve been saying to myself a lately that customer service has gone down the drain, but not here. They truly care! They also paid me for the diamond in the ring, not just the gold of the ring. Very few places do that. Definitely recommend!
Update: Im not very tech savvy, I couldn’t figure out how to do a second review so I’m adding to this. After my first, wonderful experience I had with Jewelry by Morgan, I decided to bring in my anniversary ring in to be fixed. My ring was a mess! Missing side stone, larger diamond had fallen out (luckily I found it!), we had to cut it off at home and it’s been sitting there almost a year waiting to be fixed. Because I wasn't able to take the ring off for 7 years straight, it was in bad shape. I wish I had taken before and after pictures as my ring looks brand new!!! My husband and i are both very happy with how it turned out. They quoted me 3 weeks, got it back in 2! They also suggested I bring it in every 6 months for inspection and cleaning for free, which i will absolutely be doing! Thank you...
