*MUST READ!!!!! 8/29/24 Id like to consider myself a cannabis connoisseur, Iāve been to almost every dispensary in this region as far as Missouri. Iāve been to a few cultivation farms and have many friends in the cannabis industry on the business and growing side of the industry. Today was my First time visiting local store, (local fav brand) but my actual first time visiting the local dispensary here in Kansas City, I went there open minded and looking forward to speaking with the budtenders, hoping they would be knowledgeable and open to explaining more about their brand. WRONG!!!! I knew the energy was off when I first opened the door. The woman at the door was very dry nevertheless I didnāt let that steal my joy being my first time visiting. Sat in the waiting room and was called back. Now this particular budtender was a man, I donāt know his name because he wouldnāt tell me. But I asked him about the particular sale that was going on today, he acted as if he didnāt care to explain, I kept asking him about the $40 shakes and could he explain what he had available, he took the paper and balled it up in the middle of me asking questions. He wasnāt paying attention because he kept getting my order confused. He was very impatient, MAYBE BCUZ I WAS BLACK. I told him I hope his day got better and he said No itās just me, I didnāt kno how to take that, was that racial? Seemed like everybody else got treated with decency who was a different ethnicity you can just feel the energy, nevertheless I proceeded with my order and he was getting very frustrated and I asked about the bag I was suppose to receive and he threw the bag at me, he threw my order bag and dropped it on the counter, and he told me I could leave as well. I spent my money with this company and was very discouraged being Iāve never been treated like this ever at ANY dispensary in Missouri! I asked him for his name and he wouldnāt even tell me. Before leaving I had to speak with a manager and explained to him Iāve never been treated like that before and how unappreciative of this service and treatment Iāve received. I donāt remember his name but he told me I can call him GINGER, Iām very thankful I was able to speak with him today. Granted I still left with my spirit feeling very bothered, and I donāt think Iāll EVER be returning!!!! He told me he was the manager and If I ever returned I could deal with him personally, but LOCAL DISPENSARY IS A NO FOR ME!! Love love love the flower but this place is some place Iāll never return!!! The bud tender was so rude, he didnāt even realize he had already thrown my order to me and he gave me someone elseās order as well, but Iām a honest person and returned the bag even though it should have never been given to me to begin with. It gives racist or made me feel like he didnāt wanna deal with me maybe because of my skin color!! MY NEW FAVORITE PEOPLE consist offffff Ms. Shannon, Sir Gali and (MY NEW POSSIBLE BESTIE) Marcus ā¤ļøā¤ļø if you want to read, many will be mentioned, but its story time so take a seat, grab a šØ, find the munchies and get comfy š Iāve been buying through Locals for about 4 - 5 months, but funny thing is, I was doing so through my boyfriend. I have been 21 for some time and I may or may not have put off getting my new license for 6 ish months but my boyfriend didnāt have a working phone number upon discovery of this wonderful kingdom of cannabis that is LOCALS š so we used my number and his ID to acquire the goodies, but once my bf got his phone number, I wanted to set up my own account too (cuz I love their products so much šš¤). I finally got my license a few days ago and I had my first experience inside Locals officially. First of all, that place smelled phenomenal. For those who are sensitive to the smell of the herb but enjoy Madam Mary regardless, this place is so fresh and clean and isnāt overwhelmed by incense and crazy extra aromas. Marcus was the man, the myth and bud tender in the window today that I had the wonderful honor to speak too. We tried to get my account started and I explained the silly little situation of phone numbers and IDs and he was so helpful and resilient trying to help me out. We found a loop hole and due to how long it took us he took my order straight at that window so I didnāt have to wait longer. Btw, if you wanna have a fun conversation, Marcus is the maaaan. Marcus so kindly walks me into the back floor and my god is it gorgeous. Next bud tender I meant is the beautiful Shannon and she was so funny and sweet the whole time. A little tech error happened with my ticket and she made sure my ticket got back there and they helped me ASAP. Her and I cracked jokes back and forth the entire time I spent in there. It was lovely. Also SHOUTOUT to Shannon for reminding me I needed Scooby Snacks in my arsenal šŖ šāāļøANYWAYSSSS, Sir Gali was the final bud tender I met in the evening and he was also just as AMAZING and funny as the others. We had a little bonding moment on our funky spelled names š„¹š„¹ it was great! Donāt worry Gali I got you on your spelling ā¤ļøā¤ļø In conclusion, I shall never stare, step foot or BREATHE THE SAME AIR as another dispensary (unless I move far far away š) while I remain here in KCK/KCMO. I had a pretty disappointing experience tonight. Placed an order online for a special on their flower and when I got to the store I was offered my loyalty discount of 10% and asked if I wanted to use my points as well. I love to save more money on my cannabis so I immediately said yes. The cashier gave me my total and it was the same amount for what my online order total was. I was confused so I asked if that total included all of the discounts and the cashier said yes. They were busy and I thought I may have confused the total I saw online so I didnāt push it and left. Got home and checked the receipt only to notice the online discount hadnāt been applied. Again I was confused so I called the store to let them know my issue and they asked if I could come back to the store with the receipt, didnāt ask for any of my information. Got to the store, and let two employees know my issue before I was told to get in line to speak to a manager. Waited patiently, again they were busy! Finally got to speak to the manager only to be told the offers could not be combined. Kinda frustrating to hear this after not being told this by the 3 employees Iāve already had interactions with by this point. Manager stated the system automatically applied the better deal to give the customer the best discount. The different between the two totals was 98 cents. If this had been explained to me from the beginning, I would have chosen to not use my reward points and just gotten the original discount that made me want to place the order to begin with. Overall just disappointed with how the issue was handled. Lack of training and honestly good customer service as no one except the manager bothered to explain what happened/showed empathy. Could have been explained by the cashier or by the person I spoke to on the phone instead of wasting a second trip of my night that I got nothing out of other than being told there was nothing that could be done to make up for it.
