⭐ 1 Star | Humiliated, Harassed, and Racially Profiled — All Before We Even Walked In

Let me be clear: The Quaff is the last place I would ever recommend to anyone — especially people of color.

This was our very first time visiting. My husband and I were outside, smoking a legal cigarette — nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly, a bouncer storms out of the building, eyes locked on us, and immediately begins interrogating us like we’re some kind of criminals. He accused us of smoking weed with zero cause. No smell, no behavior — just us standing there, minding our own business.

Let’s call it what it was: blatant racial profiling.

We were the only people approached. We were the only people harassed. There were others smoking, but we were the ones targeted. He didn’t come out with a question — he came out with accusation, aggression, and assumption. And the message was loud and clear: we weren’t welcome there.

It was humiliating, intimidating, and completely unnecessary. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and dehumanized. And all this before we even walked through the door. We left immediately. If that’s how they treat first-time guests outside, I can only imagine the culture inside.

The Quaff doesn’t deserve your time, your money, or your presence — especially if you’re someone who’s ever been judged for how you look. There are plenty of places in Kansas City that don’t treat people like suspects. This is not...

This is a place with a great staff, cold drinks and 19 HD TVs and 2 projection screens which is great to catch the big game. It seems every night of the week you have a different food special. Mondays you 50 cent Taco's, Tuesdays 2 for 1 burgers, Wednesday the best 16 oz KC Strip for 12 bucks and Thursdays a 14 oz Prime Rib that is to die for. Saturday and Sundays you have DJ spinning the hits from 11 to 245 am. Not only can you get hammered their you can by beer and Liquor to go till 130 am. You have two pool table, two dart boards, a Foosball table and a shuffle board table also a golden tee game and big game hunter game to mess around with. Three separate rooms which is perfect for a huge group of friend to take over and have a great time. The waitresses are probably the hottest in the area and the bartenders won't forget your name or drink for the next time you go in there. I really felt that I was on Cheers episode. The owner reminds you of Coach always coming around saying hi with a smile and hardy hand shake. So if your looking for a laid back easy going place to get good food meet great people and have the coldest beer in Kansas City this is the place for you. In from out of town and wanted to visit something within walking distance of our hotel. The bonus factor was the late night kitchen! The kitchen was open until 1:30 and we were so grateful for that after the Nebraska game ending as last as it did. The menu looked intriguing and we could've easily ordered several things that looked like we wojld enjoy. To be reasonable, we settled on sharing a pizza. My husband is your simple pepperoni pizza guy, while I enjoy nearly every topping. I appreciated our server said we could do half and half. We asked for it to go so we could enjoy drinks and take it back to our hotel. Our pizza was delicious! The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings and cheese were edge to edge. Would love to stop back in here on another trip to try more items! The only issue we had, is I asked for no olives. When we opened the box it had olives all over the supreme half and was missing the red onion. Our server mentioned she was newer, so hoping this was a learning opportunity to check her foods orders befpre serving them. I'm glad we opened the box before we left to check it.
