Boardwalk FantaSea Yacht Charter — Attraction in Kemah

On 3/28/25 the Mowtown experience was not kosher at all….my mother and I waited at the port till 7:42 when I notice staff wearing cruise gear walking away from the port.

I followed them to the personal yacht dock in front of Kemah Boardwalk when we were notified that the boat broke down and we could still come on the boat that goes nowhere to eat and listen to the DJ….if I haven’t showed up they would’ve marked me as a no show and kept my money.

I chose a refund and I called the company this morning (3/29/25) to only be sent to voicemail 3xs.

I am still calling to ensure that my 294.00 is going to be returned and Dora Sanchez who was one of the head staff was nice enough to provide me her name and wrote down refund next to my name so my money can be returned.

When having issues like this, the company need to post signs at the docking entry which is behind the Lighthouse Buffet instead of hoping people would be confused and loose their money for not showing up. That is bad business all around.

Update 4/14/25… I changed it from one star to two stars only because the administrative staff understood what was going on and they did in fact refunded my money. However, for the fantasy crew staff, they need to start posting signs when things are going wrong instead of wanting people who have purchased the experience to only forfeit if they do not know where to look. I am LIVID. My husband birthday was absolutely ruined. I booked the cruise well over three weeks in advanced. I received a call the week of the cruise and was told a part that was ordered for the boat would not be back in time so instead of cruising, we would be dining dockside. Initially I was offered. 50% discount for a future cruise. Since my hotel accommodations were not refundable I said why not since I was promised that and nothing else would be different. Huge Mistake. I had to chase the servers down for food after more than 45 minutes on the boat. It would have been different if the boat was at full capacity however there were only 5 parties including myself on the level I was sitting on. We finally were told we could go downstairs to get our dinner. When we went downstairs, I noticed that everyone downstairs had completed their meals and going for seconds so did they just forget about the people upstairs??? The meal was OK at best and we did not even wait for dessert. My husband and I left and went to a restaurant to try and salvage what was left of the evening. In short we were back at the hotel in our PJ’s by 9:50PM for a cruise that was not scheduled to return until 10:30PM. To make matters worse, I still have not received ANY COMMUNICATION regarding my 50% discount. I will be requesting a FULL REFUND when I return home.
