WOW!! Third π₯ time is definitely the charm π§Ώ!! Very easy to book π online! My whale π³ watching trip was rescheduled twice due to βοΈ weather, then a group pulled out at last minute and, the part I appreciated π, I was told that the previous few days, no whales were spotted, so, with the high cost of fuel β½, it would not be reasonable to go out with three passengers. Totally understandable! This trip, YES! Perfect clear conditions! Excellent visibility! We only saw one whale π³, a humpback, Satchel, who was a showoff! We not only saw his tail, but, his head as well! Woah π³! He splashed hard and stayed close to the surface! The advantage of our boat was how fast we could move and stay within the lawful range of Satchel π. We also saw dolphins! First time for me to see one! We eventually came across a pod and the captain caused wake so the dolphins could ride and jump! Then, we were taken to Boon Island ποΈ Lighthouse to see the seals! They stared and snorted at us then went under the water. We saw four different species of aquatic fowl and even a butterfly π¦! The staff were informative and helpful. They supply sunscreen π§΄, bottled water & ocean sickness medicine. Toilet available on the boat. Lifejackets are required for people under ninety pounds, which they supply. You have to sign a waiver before the journey. The boat is open, no shade. You will feel the surf! It travels between 30-45 mph. Bring a jersey and maybe light pants π. Only issue, we encountered a boat were the people got to close to Satchel. At first, the captain warned them they were to close, but, he got upset with their attitude and started using bad language. We did have children on board, but, I could understand the captains frustration. He and his first mate took down the boat's number to report them. Good π! Update: September, 2023; The Kennebunkport Tour was fun but we didn't go out as far due to choppy surf. We toured Porpoise Bay where we observed π¦ seals. Guys, on choppy surf, when the boat hits a wave π and we are launched out of the water, the seat you are sitting on has no shock absorbers and you will feel it! I heard men groaning with me! I can't promise you will see everything I watched. Everything came together well. I can recommend this buisness! Make sure you can swim and I don't recommend a trip if you...

They offered a unique and intimate way to explore the New England Coast from the Ocean on a Rigid Inflatable Boat or RIB craft. We immediately booked the Buzz to Boon Lighthouse Tour and set off on our Adventure! Arriving in quaint Kennebunkport, we grabbed our parking pass and, parked at the designated spot listed on the directions. We walked a short distance to Federal Jacks to rendezvous with the Tour. We were happily greeted by the Crew and Captain Gary and set off on our Adventure. IT WAS FANTASTIC! We cruised through the Port and when we got to the Open Ocean the boat took off !!!!!! Wind was whipping and the Boat Caught Air! WOOT! During a small imparting of knowledge, I asked how fast we were going. I was told 35 miles per hour. "That's It !?!?" I asked LOL It felt like 65. We all laughed. Captain Gary knew a lot about Maine Nautical History and knew a lot about the Birds, Mammals and Fish. He was the quintessential image we all have of a Seasoned Captain. When we arrived at Boon Lighthouse there were tons of Sea Birds. There were Harbor and Gray Seals all over the place! You could see how curious the Seals were about us and some of them were coming close and under the boat. Captain Gary took his time circling the Lighthouse and stopped all the time for this Photo Nerd to get face time with the Seals. It was a great time and very well thought out. The Crew made sure that everyone got to see what they wanted. I really appreciate the consideration they had for the people on board. They took photos for the passengers with the Lighthouse in the background and, really took time with us to made sure we were all comfortable. The only disappointment was heading home because I could do this all day everyday! Thank you New England Eco Adventures !!! Whale...
Β Β Β Read moreβThe Ultimate Whale Watch tour I took this summer was my third trip with this company, and the first when we actually saw whales.
We really did see whales - they were magnificent! We lingered alongside two humpback whales for nearly an hour, watching them play, spray, stir up neon green pools, and then spectacularly dive in unison, their large whale tails breaking the water in perfect formation. We were close enough to feel the mist of the whale spray on our faces.
We also saw a delightful large and interactive population of gray and harbor seals on Boon Island, their curious puppy-like heads periscoping out of the water to watch us with interest.
It was a one-in-a-lifetime experience!
The in-coming waves were fairly strong on our way out, the captain accelerating the small boat to rise up on the wave and then, thwack down very hard. Β For the first 5 minute it was fun, but as it went on for nearly an hour, it got pretty painful. A bit like being on the receiving end of a post-pounder.
If the water is choppy, I suggest taking along a sturdy back and/or neck brace for extra protection and support, and before leaving the dock, asking the captain to suggest effective ways to minimize impact shock. I was well-prepared with sunscreen, snack, seasick medicine and jacket, but I wasn't prepared for the lengthy assault on...
