I am a long time spectrum customer with that being said I went into this location with the intentions on getting 2 new replacement iphones for Christmas for family and they could only do one phone as I was trying to trade one in and didn't have it with me at that time no problem there but when talking to the store associate about what I wanted and specifically told her I only wanted the phones and not activated for Christmas presents so they would still have service on there old phones and also wanted the 1024gb for both the associate never said hey we don't carry that gb phone here which would have prevented this negative review but the associate sold me a128gb in which i didn't realize until I had already left the store and in the process of purchasing the phone the associate opens the box to the phone and activates it unknowingly to my knowledge after I specifically said I didn't want that when I first came in so after realizing the phone was wrong and coming back to the store I was told I would have to pay a $50 restocking fee to return it for a box I didn't open and didn't give the authorization to activate it and was also told the phone had to be taken out of the box to check it to see if there was any damage to it before purchase there was no manager there to say they could over ride the fee until the next day so I show up the next day to return it and was told by another associate or possibly a manager there i would have to pay the $50 fee because the box was open I was flabbergasted by this how am I supposed to pay a fee when I didn't psychically open the box nor activate it SMH but I did contact corporate office and am awaiting contact from a regional manager about this but the customer service at this location is so poor and the lies i was told in store from the associates on spectrum policies are completely false after speaking with corporate I understand why this location only has a 3.5 rating on Google get some new people in there with better attitudes and training and employees who value morales of...
Read moreI dont understand why people still use Spectrum. Worst experience of my life. My son is moving into apartment and they get cable for free from some bulk. He went a few days prior and they were packed to the gills so he left and we came back yesterday. First time we waited for 20 minutes because there was only 1 worker. The worker told us specifically come back at 1:20 appointment and someone could help you. I asked if we should call and he said nope better to do it in store. Came back 1:20(waited another 20 minutes) and the lady said can't find your address so you need to call this number. We advised we were told not to that's why we are back. She was dismissive (not rude but just dismissive). Both people should rethink life choices. I know you hate your job, but if you are going to take money from people at least be helpful. So we called finally, got bounced around for 30 minutes to 3 different people, finally landing on someone who helped us. They called the apartment, realized the address was wrong(it was court not circle), and was able to get my son what he needed. In addition they were shipping it, so we dont have to go back to the god awful store. Im guessing if it wasnt so freaking hard to do things and you just helped people right the first time, the lines wouldnt be so long, all your customers wouldnt be pissed all the time, and your customer service scores wouldn't be so low. Instead of paying people who dont want to work 10 dollars an hour maybe fire 3 of those and hire someone competent for 30 and you would get better service. At any rate specific to this located, an F to both employees...
Read moreI booked an appointment at 7:00pm on October 10 to return equipment. I arrived around 6:40 and found the doors locked, but Spectrum reps still present inside. I got one of them to come to the door. He pointed out a printed sheet taped to the store with temporary store hours, with closing at 6pm. I told the rep that I had a confirmed appointment for 7:00 and really needed to return the equipment because we were on our way out of town, headed to Florida. He refused to take the equipment, saying their systems were already shut down for the day. He went on to say that, yes, they're aware of the fact that the reservation system allows booking after closing time!!
Two complaints: (1) If this is a known problem, work it up the organizational ladder so that customers don't continue to have this problem--don't say this bug is not your problem. (2) At least once in the past when I've gone to return equipment, the Spectrum system was down, but the agent that day offered to take the equipment for official return the next day, and wrote me a note providing evidence of...
