One of the most beautiful libraries in the U.S.A. Always worth a visit: Wonderful views, comfortable seating arrangements, lovely plants and sculptures throughout. It offers a nice array of library services for locals, tourists, and seasonal residents alike, including a wonderful selection of Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska related books, free Wi-Fi and computers in 1 hour increments, plus free First Nations language classes, yoga classes, etc. Highly recommended 👍

This library is full of art including a fabric tree which tells many children stories. It also hosts an Alaska room, great for visitors to learn more. After a hike to Rainbird Trail on a rainy day would allow you to share your pics and do reviews with their free wifi. I appreciate talking to Ann Marie telling me more about the library. 😄

The Ketchikan Public Library has always been top notch. Not only is the outside as beautiful as Southeast Alaska (along with a view of it), the inside is equally amazing with art, architecture, and an overwhelmingly peaceful quiet. There are fantastic places to sit and read. And the children's area is unmatched.

Dropped in here this summer, haven't been back in Ketchikan in years so this was actually my first time seeing this place. Amazing is the only way to describe it. As an IT Professional on vacation, this place completely exceeded my expectations!

The time and craftsmanship spent laying the rock on the outside of the building coupled with the services and selection of books/magazines available was remarkable. I almost forgot I was in Alaska until I sat down and checked my email and looked out over the countryside and saw nothing but trees (and rain).

Great...

We lived in Ketchikan for about a year and frequently visited the Ketchikan Public Library. Their wide selection of books—especially on Alaska’s history, wildlife, and travel—helped us better understand Revillagigedo Island. It’s a fantastic resource for both visitors and locals, and we highly recommend it to anyone interested...
