I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Timber & Tide on its opening day, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and beautiful decor made it clear this place was something special. The space is thoughtfully designed, with touches that reflect the community, like the local fisherman’s donated nets and buoys. It really feels like a place that’s rooted in Ketchikan’s heart.
As for the food—wow. The seafood is 100% made to order, so it’s fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. You can taste the difference when it’s sourced locally and prepared just for you. I had the tacos, and they were beyond amazing—flavor-packed and perfectly cooked. It’s clear that the chef knows his craft and truly cares about what he’s serving.
The service was outstanding as well. Britney, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s evident that this restaurant is a labor of love for Britney and her team. They genuinely care about their customers and creating a great experience. It’s not just about the food; it’s about building a place for the community to come together and enjoy.
I can’t recommend Timber & Tide enough. If you’re in Ketchikan, do yourself a favor and stop by. I’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to see...
Read moreTimber & Tide just became my new favorite spot in one of my favorite places—Ketchikan. I’ve been visiting for over 10 years, and this place really adds something special to the positive, wild, free, and adventurous spirit that brings me back here time and time again.
I had the shrimp tacos, and they were incredible—super fresh and absolutely packed with meat. They don’t skimp on the good stuff. Compared to other surf-and-turf spots I’ve been to, these tacos actually deliver on flavor and substance without feeling like filler.
I got the chance to talk with the owner, who grew up in Ketchikan, and it was refreshing to hear how committed they are to supporting local fishermen and keeping things truly Alaskan. The seafood was so fresh, you could taste the difference.
Sure, the price is on the higher side—but for a tourist town, and considering the quality and local sourcing, it’s more than fair.
It’s right by where the cruise ships dock, but it doesn’t feel touristy at all—it feels like a local gem. Between the oceanfront view, the real-deal seafood, and the genuine heart behind the place, Timber & Tide made me feel at home in a town that’s always held a special place...
Read moreThe food is ok, the seafood is clearly prepared before hand and reheated and dried out. The major drawback is that the cost for a single small three-bite taco is around $15, that's right a single taco. The queso is good but tastes suspiciously like the jarred queso you buy in the grocery store and the chips are clearly bagged chips from the grocery store as well. When I raised question about the cost of the taco the waitress/hostess did not visit our table again. The atmosphere is lackluster and borrows the decorum from the restaurant that previously occupied the space. All together this is an obvious cash grab, made obvious by the high priced, low quantity meals. They made sure to have their t-shirts and axe merch ready for release to squeeze those last cents out of you. The owners do seem to want to make this a go to place, it's just not it. Skip this place even if you are starving, there are plenty of other good restaurants in Ketchikan. I don't normally go back to places when they disappoint this badly but since they are just starting out and seem to be new at this I will make an effort to try and re-review a...
