Our family recently took a trip to the 90 Miles Point in Key West on a sunny day, and it was an unforgettable experience. The drive to the point was scenic and enjoyable, with stunning views of the ocean and lush greenery along the way.

When we arrived at the 90 Miles Point, we were amazed by the crystal-clear waters and the gentle breeze that greeted us. We have to make a line like 40 min under the shiny sun. Then we go the beach, the kids immediately ran to the water, eager to splash around and play on the sandy beach. We spent hours soaking up the sun, building sandcastles, and taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean.

The area was peaceful and serene, making it the perfect spot for a family day out. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the beach, complete with sandwiches, snacks, and refreshing drinks. The kids had a blast exploring the tide pools and collecting seashells as souvenirs of our day trip.

Overall, our visit to the 90 Miles Point in Key West was a highlight of our family vacation. It was a perfect day filled with sunshine, laughter, and cherished memories that we will treasure for...

Standing at the "90 Miles to Cuba" marker was an emotional experience for me. In that moment, I felt so close—yet so far—from my home, my roots, my memories. Just 90 miles across the water, and yet it feels like a world away. This spot is more than a tourist photo-op. For those of us with Cuban heritage, it holds deep meaning. It's a place where the breeze carries stories, where the waves whisper of longing, sacrifice, and hope. You can almost feel the presence of those who once looked across that same stretch of ocean, dreaming of a new life—or remembering the one they left behind. The vibrant colors of the marker and the constant flow of visitors make it lively, but for me, there was a quiet moment where it felt deeply personal. I stood there thinking about family, history, and how identity can stretch across borders and oceans. Whether you're Cuban or just someone with a heart open to the stories of others, this place makes you feel something. It's beautiful, powerful, and...

My wife likes to mention how this is not the true Southernmost point in the continental U.S., which is correct. Nevertheless, the 90 miles to Cuba marker is a great photo opportunity and as a Cuban-American, holds a special place in my heart. I've been here many, many times. During the daytime there's usually a line you have to wait on to take your pictures. We've found that it's really peaceful at night, after 9pm, and almost deserted. Since there are lights on the street, you can still take decent pictures without having to deal with the...
