The Guesthouses at Southernmost Beach Resort – Duval Gardens Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Key West

We had an amazing vacation staying at Duval Gardens. I would stay here again and again and recommend this place to anyone! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were hot and delicious, and we sat out on the large front porch every morning and every evening. It is a busy street so it's not exactly quiet but once in our room we could barely hear a thing and slept like babies! It was also great to be close to everything and in walking distance to so many activities. Our room was just as expected, small but so comfortable. The A/C was cold and refreshing, the bathroom was spacious and clean, and the bed was VERY comfortable. We also had the benefit of being poolside - which was lovely. The other guests were friendly and kind. I can't say enough good things. I saw so many good reviews on this place I just had to book and I don't regret it...

We stayed at the Avalon guest house for 4 nights and my wife and I absolutely loved it! We initially had the queen bed size room, but they upgraded us to the king size bedroom at no charge so that was really nice!

The breakfast and snack provided with our room was also great! The whole staff are incredible people and incredible at their job. The food itself is also great, just what you need to start your day and the snack is also really great, use that perk if you have it because it’s good and a great holdover until you get your dinner!

Multiple pools to lay at and catch some sun, all have a different vibe too which is great for whatever mood you’re in!

Be warned about making a reservation here. We were so excited to stay here, but due to COVID my husband and I both work in healthcare and were told not to travel from our employers or there would be consequences. Unfortunately Duval Gardens decided that we would not get a refund back. I am extremely disappointed because we were very excited to stay here. There is a pandemic and there is no refund? I understand under normal circumstances not issuing a refund but this is a horrible virus. We both work in healthcare and could use that money right now while putting our health at risk for others. It is incredibly disappointing that this is how they would treat guests, and dealing with all of this I guess when we do get to go to Key West again we will not be...
