Fantasy Fortress — Attraction in Killeen

Great place!, I am not from Killeen but I come down from Missouri for work and it's hard to give a review that really states the experience properly and not have it compete with the declaration of Independence in length..Best experience I've had at a card store in a very long time!! Met the owner and his family while parousing (pa-roo-zing...still unsure how it's spelled) the wares, I am ashamed that I didn't catch their names (alot of business on both sides)..no worries I'll stop by when I return to killeen. Anyway the atmosphere and customers present were awesome and friendly, the showcase was loaded with a great selection of singles, pre-cons and..well just about anything one would need to play the games and learn. Never in my life did I think I would find a local game store as inviting and full of caring dedicated staff and management as Fantasy Fortress. I quit magic and sold most of my collection in 2018. In march of 2024 i decided that o want to start playing MTG again and thought i would try a couple of gamestores to see which one I liked the best. I played at Fantasy Fortress once and immediately knew that it was the only Game store i ever want to play at. The regulars are of outstandingly diverse and friendly character. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The decore is thematic and inviting. The traffic is high (i have always been able to get a couple of 4 pod commander games in anytime I go there). What a spectacular store, and an even more welcoming community. Words do not even begin to explain how much this store has helped the Magic The Gathering community in Killeen. Not only are the owners incredibly friendly and welcoming to all communities in the TCG world, but the employees are just as sharp as them. Milo in particular is always a blast to have behind the counter will have you leaving with a smile on your face with his great personality and undying dedication to the community he helped shape.
