Let's do this in the style of a scene from a classic gangster flick.
Descending upon the quiet town of Laguna Beach, heart set on one mission - the Orange County Public Library.
First impressions matter, right? Well, Orange County Public Library doesn't disappoint. It's like stepping into the mansion of a classy mob boss – all style and elegance, no unnecessary show of force. The place is spacious, tidy, and inviting. It commands respect with its collection, just as a Don commands respect with his empire.
At the front desk, you'll meet the capo of the library – a man who renews your library privileges with a smile that’s worth a million bucks. Much like a trusted lieutenant in the world of gangsters, he's there to ensure you get the best deal possible, no hidden fees, no underhanded tricks.
When it comes to parking, the Orange County Public Library is a haven amidst the cutthroat turf wars of downtown Laguna Beach. Offering free parking, it's like finding an untouched stash of cash in the hustle and bustle of the city. Despite the rest of downtown being as cramped as a bootlegger's car during Prohibition, the library's parking lot provides a bounty of spaces.
In the grand scheme of things, the Orange County Public Library is a beacon of calm in the bustling city, a mafia boss who prefers wisdom and knowledge to force. The man at the front desk is the reliable consigliere, making sure your visit is smooth. And the parking? Well, that’s like the cherry on top of a perfect scheme.
So, here’s my two cents, in bullet-point gangster speak:
The library is a haven for knowledge seekers, like the mansion of a classy mob boss. The man at the front desk is the consigliere of the place, renewing library privileges with a heartwarming smile. Ample free parking is like finding an untouched stash of cash amidst the chaotic streets of downtown Laguna Beach.
All in all, this library gets my highest praise. It's a godfather among public libraries, offering a peaceful retreat from the rough and tumble streets of downtown...
Read moreLaguna Beach is one of my favorite places. When it comes to our Library system, I find, socially and manageriairly that it is in need of serious repair. Homeless people, as they should flock to this Library. They talk, mumble, smell. But even more interesting is, well I like to draw a beat on a city, and not just mingle with the tourist, but mingle slightly with the locals and homeless. I know who sells pot or other recreational drugs on the street. And I have seen these guys occasionally using the quiet, private rooms to meet with, what I would consider to be a customer. Libraries, are a good place to sell drugs, as many homeless who do drugs are regularly at the Library. The sentence, " going to the Library" sounds good and innocent. It is a good place to commit illegal sales in broad public. ...
Read moreNice public library in Laguna Beach. Was visiting the area and decided to stop by to relax and read some magazines. Fiction and non fiction books available to borrow. Friendly librarians and staff members. There are also computers available to use. They do have a “friends of the library” book store downstairs where they sell used books for very cheap. I also like the creative small fairy garden right outside...
