Tuvalu — Local services in Laguna Beach

I have been shopping in this store for the last 18 years. I am a local. I have made many treasured purchases large and small over that time. Most of the time I have been greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. They’ve even done some reupholstering for me in the past. On my last 3 visits consistently there was not so much as a hello with a glance. I was in the store for a half an hour today. The only time anyone glanced my way was when I picked up something small or breakable. But still not a word. When looking at pillows behind the counter. The woman behind the counter wouldn’t even look at me. I noticed the ladies working in the store were greeting and taking care of other customers who we’ll just say did’nt have the same complexion as me. I am sad to say this may have to be my last time here. I don’t feel welcome. I sure hope that what I loved about Laguna and shopping at Tuvalu...

My wife and I walked in this store before we took our kids to the beach. I am a black man who was immediately followed around the entire store and not once did someone greet me nor ask me if I needed help. Just followed around the store. My wife was quite irritated by the fact and felt like I was being profiled for being black so we left and watched from outside and not once did they do this with any of their other race customers in the...

I especially love the sophisticated colors that create a very beachy feel in this lovely shop. They also offer design services and custom order products.
