The Bryant Boat Ramp has several major drawbacks that make it a frustrating experience for boaters. First, the parking lot is very small, and the loading and unloading area is extremely cramped, making it difficult to navigate — especially during busy times. The current at the ramp is also very strong, which adds another layer of difficulty when trying to launch or retrieve your boat.
Adding to the congestion, there’s a large abandoned boat taking up valuable space at the ramp, further limiting maneuverability and parking options. The overall atmosphere is made worse by a large number of inconsiderate jet ski users who frequently cut the line of boats waiting to load back onto trailers, causing delays and tension among boaters.
Another major issue is the ramp closest to the bathroom — it’s incredibly slippery, especially during low tide, making it hard to pull a boat out safely. This ramp in particular is not recommended for use unless absolutely necessary.
Overall, unless you have no other option, I would not recommend using Bryant Boat Ramp. There are better, safer, and more organized alternatives...
Read moreI recently started playing horseshoes there with a good group of guys. The city decided to do a little up grading and built new backboards which are very nice. I will say this, somebody that doesn’t know anything about horseshoes decided to remove the blue gumb clay! This is the proper clay and pitchers choice. Please return it! The clay for each pit runs approximately $250, There was nothing wrong with that Clay other than a little more needed to be added and worked in. Whatever you put in the pits are nasty to play in. I played on them this past Sunday and you can’t turn them over with a shovel because it all sticks to the shovel then when you throw the shoes they stick to your shoes. Today the group of guys decided not to even throw in them so we had to use the beach sand pits. Beach sand is also in problem the best soil that’s an expensive would be a number 2 screte sand. I wish somebody would stop bye on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday Between nine and 11 and find out what is needed. I hope this gets...
Read moreThis place was one of my favorites growing up but it needs a lot of help. This weekend was eye opening. Under the bridge you have people clearly on drugs living there and leaving garbage everywhere. The amphitheater is extremely sketchy, you would have to really need to go to the bathroom to want to brave going in there. There is a little dock/fishing area that looks like skid row on the water. On the tiny beach area at the entrance of it, there were 2 dead chickens rotting. Not chickens from the grocery store, like full feathered ones. Taking my son to hunt crabs was impossible with all the garbage. I cant imagine moms with kids, old ladies, or really anyone feeling safe walking though the stretch from the boat ramp/dock to the bridge. There is a lot of money in this area for this park being in such poor condition. Google suggests 'playground' 'dog-friendliness' 'restrooms' and 'picnic'. Not exactly a place I would recommend having a picnic or using the bathroom unless it's closer to the...
