Feeling disappointed I have ordered from this company a few different times and I have always been impressed by them! Even though some of the stuff is expired which they state when you buy it so that’s not an issue for me at all it’s fun getting deals on stuff to try and see if you like! But I placed an order on feb 21st expecting with their delays that they stated that it would be here in time for Easter. Well then I got another email with promotions for Easter with the Easter eggs and other Easter type candy! Well when I got that email I placed a second order thinking k for sure this one will be here by Easter as well. A month went by and I emailed them asking if the first order would be delivered by Easter and they responded saying that they are trying to get all the Easter specific orders out first and they would add mine to the stack. Which leaves me to believe that the order I placed back in February has just kept getting pushed off because they advertised for Easter even though they were way way way behind on orders to begin with so in order to keep Easter customers happy they pushed the rest of the previous orders off and if I hadn’t emailed them asking then who knows when the first order I placed in February would ship.. between the 2 orders I have spent close to $200USD. Which like I said I have ordered from them a few other times and I had a fabulous experience so supporting this family business was fun to do! Well I emailed them again asking if they have an update on my order if it has shipped and if it will be here by Easter they responded with a tracking number. I tracked it and it won’t be here until after Easter.. I’m disappointed in the fact that I spent a good amount of money way ahead of Easter to be prepared and give them extra time to get to my orders and they chose to just keep pushing it off and serving other customers first. Customers that came close to a month after my order was already placed due to their promoting more business. They could have purchased a different shipping option to ensure that the order arrived in time but they chose usps ground shipping and now it won’t be here until after. I feel to bad to cancel the order as we will still eventually eat the candy but it’s purpose will be over due by the time it arrives and also it has already shipped so it seems to be a headache to pay for return shipping and some of the items I purchased were final sale. I also don’t think it’s fair to keep saying that their employees don’t need to read negative reviews that they are working so hard! I completely agree that the employees are working their tail ends off and they don’t deserve negative feedback the owners (employers) should not have advertised for more business and put more strain on their employees!! They should have stopped taking orders so that they could have time to communicate with their customers and give their employees a little slack! Instead they pushed more work onto their employees and then blamed the customers for being upset that they are doing all they can do! I’m hoping that after this rush of business they will look over how they treated their long term customers not just their customers that wanted to join a tik tok trend because those customers are around for a brief second until a new trend pops up!
Edit to add: my order was delivered! It was all tasty aside from over half of the suckers that I ordered were opened upon arrival. I emailed them and sent a picture and I didn’t get any response or anything! That was around April 5th today is April 24th. Very disappointed. 23 items from my $333.31 USD (+$45.80 CAD of Customs/Duties) order had issues with packaging, freshness and quality. I emailed customer service 3 times and reached out on their Instagram account 2 times and never heard back from either. Please see below for details: Choklad Elefanter - had hair on the chocolate in the sealed bag and the Stora Saltskallar 1/4 pound arrived sweaty, wet and soggy inside the sealed bag. -It appears that I was given the earliest possible shelf life of almost all the packaged items I ordered (order placed on Aug 24, 2023 and arrived on Aug 30, 2023)... Viol/Lakrits Svampar 1/4 pound (they are rock hard) Salta Pengar 2 pounds (they are rock hard) 2 x Fazer Moomin Biscuit Box - Nov/23 expiration date 6 x Candy People Bagged Sours - Dec/23 expiration date 2 x Marabou Chocolate Bars - Oct/23 expiration date 1 x Marabou Skotte - Nov/23 expiration date 1 x Cloetta Kex Choklad Bag - Oct/23 expiration date 1 x Marabou Dubbel Nougat - Sept 1, 2023 expiration date 4 x Anthon Berg Marizpan Bars - Oct/ 23 expiration date The box was not packaged correctly and so 3 items were damaged.
There shouldn't have been Customs/Duties on this order but because they list so many line items I was charged an admin fee from Customs/Duties. This, on top of them charging shipping by weight AND shipping out the earliest possible expiration dates, means it does not make sense to order in large quantities from this store.
SO outrageously disappointed. I have a large Scandinavian family here in Canada and was so excited to have found a store that had lots of our favorite brands from back home and was going to give everyone great surprise gifts for Christmas. Read moreOrdered April 17th and got a shipping notification YESTERDAY. 90% of my order was canceled and refunded. If you had that little in stock I wouldn't have minded my entire order refunded as opposed to waiting 2 months for a fraction of the candy I ordered. Glad my local store called me to let me know the bubs arrived there just 45 minutes from me! Never ordering anything from them again!
Update: they also replace whatever they ran out with stuff you didn't ask for. I only got one order I asked for and 2 replacements I did not. The candy was also stale and sticky.
Update #2: DRASTIC improvement! I can safely say that this company takes feedback and utilizes it to better their operations. I ordered from them again because my local candy store and sockerbit didn't have the candies I wanted to restock. Quick shipping for black week and arrived with the candy fresh, A MILLION TIMES BETTER than the last time I ordered. So, you won me back. :)
Update #3: in store experience - i was heading back home from a weekend trip in Georgia and decided to stop here vs. Paying online and exorbitant shipping. I got there down to the wire like 15 minutes before closing. The young lady there was kind and patient, and let me look around and pick out the candies I wanted.
