Historic Fifth Street School — Attraction in Las Vegas

The 2023 Las Vegas Book Festival is an amazing event. The authors, vendors and activities were all well planned. This was a wonderful event for all ages. I enjoyed meeting the writers, going to the different workshops and looking at everything books. The layout was perfect which included a food court and monitored activities for the kids. It was a moment of pride entering the beloved gates of Fifth street school. Its historic fact was the stance that the Pauite tribe took when demanding a school to be built for the children of Pauite and African American of West Las Vegas. An incredible serene space just to hang out and experience. Definitely has an historic feel to the space. Several entry points. I would think back in the day, it was open 24/7 for the public to just stroll during a cool evening. Gates are in play, so more an external visual exploration. Perhaps during the day, gates are open.
