We just stayed here for a wedding taking place in The Golden Nugget chapel. The chapel ceremony experience lovely in a small but tasteful room. For the reception portion the servers were attentive to the guests, bride and groom. Since it was a small reception the couple elected for heavy appetizers, which were great. We ended up checking out of The Golden Nugget 2 nights early because we didn't enjoy the Casino hotel itself, or it's location. We ended up spending more time at Circa which neighbored The Golden Nugget. I should mention part of why we checked out early was after changing rooms because our first room had bed begs. This is probably a very challenging thing to mitigate with so many people coming from all over the world to stay but they did have different cleaning policies than I've experienced in other hotels/resorts. They made a point to tell us they only provide fresh towels and service rooms by request during your stay. The rooms weren't immaculate upon check in, so it made me wonder how thoroughly they clean between guests. The staff didn't question about the bed begs we found on the bed and willingly accommodated a change of room but the room we were switched to was facing the Downtown Las Vegas Event center, an outdoor venue. This looked like an amazing outdoor venue but it's proximity to the hotel meant the concert felt like it was inside our room. I get most folks don't come to Vegas to get a good night's sleep but having the option sleep at decent hour would have been nice espcially considering the cost of the rooms and resort fees. So if you're like myself and my husband be sure to ask the front desk to book your room in the tower that's farthest in proximity to Downtown Las Vegas Event Center or the opposite side of the tower and be safe, check your bed/mattress!!

The hotel common areas are ok and restaurants are amazing, but the rooms are dated, dingy and gross. The service is severely lacking. All hotel towers have to check into the same lobby. There is always a long line to check in. We waited over an hour. My bathroom needs a good steam cleaning and overall they need to update. There is no service during your stay. They only clean at checkout unless you ask for service. I had Amazon boxes shiped here as I do normally to most hotels. They charge for accepting packages and I don't mind paying if service is actually good. The issue is one of my packages was delivered March 23rd in the evening and no one but Bradley the manager can receive packages apparently. I went down Friday at 9AM. No one was at the Business Center. Came back after errands and was told again only Bradley could access it and he wasn't available. I finally got my package after multiple calls and was told my package had just arrived even though my Amazon app told me exactly when it was delivered. What's the point of having a business center and charging to receive packages when you can't employ someone to actually work your business center so patrons can access their packages.

I've stayed in the Carson tower before it was very nice. Quiet and comfortable. So I booked the Carlson tower grand king room for this trip. And I am i'm very disappointed. They told me they were upgrading me to the gold tower. I assure you it's no upgrade. I've had to change rooms 4 × 3 times last night once again today. The first room smelled of raw garbage The second room, the air conditioning didn't work. The third room is over the band stage on Fremont street, so no sleep last night. I keep trying to get them to put me in the carson tower that I booked, but they keep playing games. I'm not sure I'll be back. It's really unfortunate. I love gambling here. The people are very friendly and up until this trip.It was a good value. The gold tower rooms are musty moldy, loud things and up ill kept there's mold all over the bathroom. Tub, the paint is peeling wallpaper is ripped. This place hasn't been been kept up and it's obvious. I'm still waiting on my new room if it's as loud as it was last night. I'll have to change motels. This is unacceptable. Be careful when they tell you. It's an upgrade.I don't believe it.

The location was excellent, As for the hotel itself very disappointing. Shampoo, conditioner & shower gel never topped up. Was there 3 days before room service came into room. 2nd of July I got married & that morning a bottle of champagne was given to my husband by room service. They literally knocked on door & gave to him, no explanation of where or who it came from. There was no note or glasses so couldn't drink it anyway. It wasn't until the next day when I received a message from someone asking if we enjoyed the champagne that I realised who it was from & I told them the truth that we did receive a bottle but didn't know where it came from & they told me they ordered it 2 weeks ago online to be sent to room on 2nd July with a note & glasses to celebrate our day. (this was all done from the uk) I went to reception desk to complain on Wednesday 3rd July to be told that the person who deals with that side of things is at lunch & they will give me a ring (even though I tried telling them that I cannot receive phonecalls due to no data as from uk) that went in one ear & out the other. That same eve I went back to the desk & spoke to someone else who told me a completely different story, which was the person who deals with the orders has not been working for 2 days & the receptionist will make sure that a card & glasses is put in room tomorrow (4th July) which needs never happened either. I went back to desk eve of 4th July & buck was passed yet again. I never received the celebration card or glasses (which I think is disgusting) yet someone from the uk had requested that when they placed the order & the order was not met correctly. I did find some of the staff rude & for some reason some didn't understand English or that they didn't want to listen. I can honestly say that I would not come back to this hotel. The parking was a nightmare aswell 40 mins one eve driving around car park to find a space (ended up parking on road) They take your money but don't give the service. GOLDEN NUGGET THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY Personally I am not happy with the reply , how is your reply going to affect me? as I stated I was disgusted by the way a bottle of champagne was handed to my husband on our wedding day which was ordered from a friend in the uk as a gift yet had no card (which was meant to be given with champagne) or glasses. So 1 how was we supposed to know who it was from & 2 how was we meant to drink it? & then speaking to 3 members of staff & being told different stories about the service. personally I am not happy as 1 the champagne was probably not cheap & 2 the...

Well, this was our 3rd year in a row coming here. Still good rates + rooms, we stayed at the Rush Tower again, this time I ask for the quiet room at the opposite side of Fremont because we have a business trip again. Anyways, first 2 times they got a 5 star this time i lowered to 3 because "customer service" and "miscommunication".

The main problem I'll say was "their payment system" and then some of their staff not explain the consequences i will have through our staying.

We paid the full amount in January 2024 and add a few extra days and paid in full. When we arrive at 2am after a 20hrs drive I didn't expect an email saying "sorry for your cancellation" just a few minutes after we arrive to our room. I went to ask to the lobby and was told "everything is fine and pay off, nothing to worry about" I didn't pick up the name of the young girl that time but I believe and went back to sleep. A day after I got a charge on my card and I was like "maybe is the deposit, but it's a little high" and let it pass, next day I got another one and then I went to ask again to the Lobby, this time Ms. Zena attended me, I try to explain the situation but she didn't care this time, I told her we already paid since months ago just to prevent any kind of extra situation like this, but then she told me they refunded the money, I check my email and read the lower part and yes it it said it was going to be a refund within 5-10 days and I was like "yes, but I won't have the money to cover the rest on that card until that money is back" her response was "we expect you to have the money on the card or we will lock your room if we don't receive payment" oh well... There you go, she call her manager and they gave me a extension (didn't get the name of manager, Diana maybe?) then I went ankther day to ask with the rest of the money and Ms. Dee was polite and finally explained me what happen, it seems their automated payment system messed up our staying and cancell it because "they can't withdraw the money" even if they did months ago. She explained me that we did receive some benefits for the mistake but sadly after all the stress we didn't receive a "we are sorry..." Not all about is money but surely it's a big provlem sometimes. At the end we stay there for 8 nights or so, Ms. Zena was in a better mood the last time I went to add a few extra days and she explained a little bit more the situation the past few days. As a note, we bring this year 4 rooms for other people in our group, we might bring some more this coming year for our event in November. Hopefully next year we can raise again to the 5 stars. I already...

We've stayed at the Golden Nugget many times. We prefer being downtown because it's so much more convenient getting from casino to casino than it is out on the strip. We love the Golden Nugget! We usually use the "run of the house" option when we book the rooms because it's cheaper. And then when we get there we do an upgrade. We've stayed in the Carson Tower before but more recently have preferred the Rush Tower. You can get a room that has a coffee maker and refrigerator. It's also off Fremont Street so it is quieter. The Carson Tower isn't bad however, and is also off Fremont. The Gold Tower however seems to be noisy because it's closer. We also stayed in the Spa Tower once for a very special occasion. Those rooms are superb, but of course are very expensive.

The pool area is very nice. There's also an upper adult pool that is smaller but also nice. My biggest complaint about the gold nugget is that there's a fish/shark tank at the pool that has a water slide running through it. I guess it's a huge attraction, but I don't understand why people like it because it seems very cruel to me. Those poor fish/sharks have been swimming around in circles for years. Some of these sharks are huge and should not be contained like this. I really wish they would consider taking it out. There's another aquarium inside but it has smaller fish so it's not as big of an issue I suppose.

The Golden Nugget has lots of food options inside and is very convenient to other restaurants on Fremont.

One complaint is that while our room has a coffee maker, they give you 4 pods the first day and then charge you after no longer how long you stay. Petty!

One other complaint is the Spa. As a guest you get to use the equipment room but not the wet spa area unless you pay a lot of extra. The wet spas the only place where there's a bathroom. So if you have to go to the bathroom while you're there, you have to go down to the casino to do it. They've also implemented a complex sign-in process that you have to use every day. You have to type in your name, email address, room number, etc. It used to be so much simpler because you just had to give them your room number on the way in and they would verify that you were a guest.

I do recommend the Golden Nugget. If perhaps you're a little older and have already done The Strip once or more, then the downtown is just seems simpler. It's one of the better...
