Ulta Beauty - You should be ashamed.
A few days ago I booked an appointment to have my hair cut on 4/1/2022 at 1500 hours at Ulta Beauty at 2186 N. Rainbow Blvd Las Vegas, NV. During my drive to Ulta at approximately 1430 hours I received a call from their unprofessional staff stating that the woman that was assigned to cut my hair was running behind and my appointment was being pushed back to 1530 hours. I informed them I was almost at Ulta and asked if someone else might be available to cut my hair instead. The woman then stated in a rude tone, "it's 2:30... and no there are only two of us here. You'll have to wait an hour then." I then informed her I would wait and she then hung up.
When I finally enter Ulta at 1530 hours at the salon area I was not greeted by a single person. I then sit down and wait. A woman then approaches me and asks if I have an appointment which I inform her that it was rescheduled for 1530 hours. She then states she is cutting my hair and to follow her. I follow her to the chair and sit down. She then spends the next five minutes running around looking for a spray bottle and hair cutting equipment. I inform her what type of hair cut I want and she then begins for two minutes then disappears into the back for another five minutes. The woman then reappears and begins cutting my hair once again. After spending 15 minutes with me she tells me I'm good to go and then goes to get me the bill.
I then walk to the front of the store and request a manager. The woman then informs me she is the manager. I begin by explaining to the manager that I have anxiety and that this whole situation has been very unpleasant for me. I then explain the rude behavior I received from the staff, the rude phone conversation, and that I was charged for services I had not received. I informed the manager that I had been to Ulta to get my hair cut before and I know that all hair cuts are supposed to come with a shampoo, conditioner, scalp massage, and blow dry which I recieved none of these things and that my appointment had been rushed.
The manager then leaves to speak with the employee. The manager returns five minutes later with a new bill for me, she stated that she spoke with the employee and that she admitted she had not washed my hair and had rushed the service while charging me full price because she was behind and had another appointment. The manager then tells me the best she can do is give me 50 percent off my bill.
My anxiety is now at an all time high and I agree to the discount, pay, and leave. After crying in my car for an hour I begin to drive home. I then pull over and call the store back requesting to speak with the manager again. At this point she offers me a full refund, but informs me I can only get the refund (even though I paid with my card) if I come back to the store. I then drive 15 minutes back to the store and when I ask for the refund I'm informed that I would need to wait in the long line in order to have it done.
I then ask to speak with the manager again because this is now completely unacceptable and I feel like I'm being treated like less than a human at this point. The employees then proceed to refused to issue me the refund unless I get in the line. I then go into the line and wait. I am now absolutely furious, distraught, and having a major anxiety attack. By the time I get to the register and request the refund I feel like I'm going to pass out. After I get the refund, I immediately leave the store and go back to my car to have the mental breakdown that I could not afford to have inside the store.
I will never return to Ulta Beauty. To the employees that treated me like I was nothing but a pebble in the bottom of your shoe, shame...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews but after my experience yesterday I feel like I should warn other shoppers.
So yesterday I go to by shampoo and conditioner cause I ran out. I searched through the hair department and not once did anyone come check on me to see if I needed help. Which is not a big deal but whatever. I finally find what I need and realize that the conditioner is all messy with product and that there isn't another one. So I ask one of the workers if she could see if they had more in the back. She went to check and came back and said no. And considering I wasn't close to any other ulta I asked her if a manger could do something because while I really wanted the product I didn't want to pay full price for it especially condidering some of the consitioner was spilling out of it. So she left and about 5 mins had passed and this new lady comes out hands me the conditioner and says "I found one in the back." Walks away doesn't even introduce herself, ask me if I'm okay or anything. So I inspect the new bottle and I could tell it was the exact same one. She just must have cleaned off the top. Because when I opened the top it was extremely dirty and crusted also the top felt oily and smelled strongly of conditioner. At this point I was upset that I had been lied to and made a fool of like how tf was I not going to notice it was the same. And at that point it was no longer about the conditioner but rather the principle that this woman actually thought I was that stupid to buy that B.S PERIODT. I work everyday so I can splurge on myself meaning money is never an option when I go out to buy things. And it wasn't like I went in the store trying to dupe them because despite my experience, I still ended up spending my money on shampoo.
Anyway.
So I asked to speak to the manager who was supposedly the girl who brought the 'new one' out. I was told her name was Chrissie but she just went to lunch (all that lying must have had her famished) and 5 minutes later a different manager came over named Taryn and I explained what happened. She barely acted concerned but she then told me she would have a talk with both of them. And asked me if I wanted her to check in the back to see if they had more. And even though I already knew she wouldnt find anything I told her sure... Of course she came back and said no they didn't have anymore and that Chrissie "threw it in the trash'. But the fact that she couldnt just bring the old bottle out to clear up my concerns (because it didnt exist) proved to me everything I needed to know. Taryn ultimately didnt fix anything. And I get it she has to protect her workers. But to Chrissie, don't try to fool and lie to customers who are spending their hard earned cash. Next time just be transparent... Wiping clean a bottle top doesnt equate to finding a new product in the back somewhere. And if you were going to lie about it you should be smarter and clean the inside of the cap as well.
But I've told my story and for this ULTA will not be receiving anynore of my money. I refuse to support a company who pays liars to run their business.
To the other paying customers, always check your product(s) before buying or accepting something from the workers. Lying is clearly a part of their...
Read moreI am giving this location 3 stars because I was actually asked if i needed assistance instead of the employees standing in a hurdle talking amongst each other. This is the only location that i visit since its so close to home. Everytime i walk in the door I am greeted, but I am usually never asked if i need assistant which is fine. I never go in for anything specific its usually just a treat for me day. Today was a special day i was actually approached and I was looking for something specific. Now even tho the MAC associate did assit me, She had mo interest in listening she was blowing me off. She just kept saying "unh huh" and "mmm hmm." I was ready to buy the MAC concealer but after she tried it on me She walked away I didn't even know the color and after she walked away i didn't care to ask. The entire store had a weird vibe today, hell everyday but today seemed worse. So the reason i wrote the review and did not give them 5 stars is because i usually get the sam cashier Alexia and she is hates her job poor thing. She always has an attitude. She is not welcoming at all. No smiling, always chewing on something, no eye contact, she just looks irritated all the time. My very first trip to ULTA she didn't mention anything about the rewards program and i spent $232.00! I was offered my next visit and I only spent $43, that cashier was very friendly. One of my items was a juvias place matte liquid lipstick and when i got home it looked amazing so i had to go back and grab another. So when i went to cash out I hear another empolyee ask Alexia if she was ok and she says pretty loud " no i want to quit!" The other girl looked a little uncomfortable and said she was sorry to hear that and walked away. Alexia kept that same i hate my job attitude when she rang me up and i had to ask her to add it to my points, for a bag, and my receipt. So my experience at this location is usually pretty chill until i get to register and Alexia...
