Update - they BROKE my screen, touchscreen no longer works. ........ Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND! I came in awhile ago about my issue, and gentleman @ the front desk was very helpful in giving me suggestions. Finally brought it in Mon 8/19, as I was told then & at drop off that it would take 5-7 days. Called back T 8/27 and told part hadn't come in but should be in by Friday and repair could be done that day z and worse case, they would be open all holiday weekend. No manager to speak to. Called Sat 8/31 - STILL NO PART and could not give me an ETA. Was told manager had just stepped out to make a delivery, but would call me back soon. Called again that evening before closing- voicemail. Not 5 mins after I left a voicemail, I got a notice that my order needed parts and it would delay my repair. Called Sun 9/1 - told that the guy I've been speaking with IS the store manager, but his boss orders the parts and they likely wouldn't be in until 9/12-9/18.. yep, 2-3 ADDITIONAL WEEKS. At this point, it's quicker to ship off, so I showed up an hour later to get my laptop as it was in working condition when I dropped it off - they had COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED IT to "diagnose" it even as the issue was very visible and the guy at the front desk told me he knew exactly what the issue was (HP=Hinge Problems). Read moreI asked for a quote for repair because the screen had lifted on the bottom corner when I dropped it. Instead of helping me, they made it worse and then told me I'd need a new screen and battery. The front desk worker was helpful, but his coworker wouldn't come out from the back and so he took my phone to him, and that's when the glass got more separated. I wish I'd never gone in.
Edit (in response to the manager's response) I'm mostly upset because the "expert" wouldn't come and talk to me face to face. He sent the message via another employee who just told me what they recommended. NO ONE mentioned that the phone was in danger or explained anything else but what you recommended replacing. Poor customer service and lazy workers who don't want to speak to customers is no excuse. The phone worked fine, I wanted a quote. I never got one, just run around. I can't trust you if you won't speak to me and send someone less qualified to try to explain. I don't have patience for games. If you valued my business you would have the expert speak to me. Read moreI took my HP laptop to this location to get the screen repaired August 26,2020. I checked on the laptop repair several times since I was told it would take about 2 weeks. On October 2, 2020 they finally called to say they couldn’t fix it. They also had my daughter’s laptop for over a month and finally said it couldn’t be fixed. I received my deposit back, but didn’t think I needed to check for all parts. Due to the pandemic, it sat at my house in the box for several months. I finally took it to another shop. They informed me that the hard drive was missing, several screws were missing and the mother board was damaged. I went back to UBREAKIFIX of course they denied it. After I made a theft report with the local police, the manager stated they would fix it for free. I requested it in writing. He gave it to me. I decided I didn’t trust them, so I requested that they just replace my computer with a new one. They declined, so I want to warn everyone about their actions.
