So, our energetic 18 month old has now totally obliterated two of our Apple products, my wife's iPhone 6 and her iPad. The iPhone 6 screen was completely shattered and for a couple of days, it still worked but she knew her luck would run out eventually. The iPad screen was cracked in just one place but was getting worse. Thus, we hopelessly began searching for a miracle. Obviously that "miracle" was to find a business to fix her devices which wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg... literally. So thankfully we stumbled upon iFix Cellphone Repair in Leesburg across from Costco.
Dropped off my wife's iPad to John (the store owner) at the beginning of the weekend and I figured maybe I'd hear back from the store early the next week or something. Nope - got a call that Saturday afternoon from John himself telling me it was ready. Basically fixed it in less than a day. Incredible turnaround time! Then, I walked into the store late one weekday afternoon and handed my wife's shattered iPhone 6 to John and he practically fixed it right there and then. This guy should have been a surgeon - amazingly steady hands. He said it was the end of the day and why not just fix it immediately - done in less than 20 minutes. Then, he looked at my iPhone 6 that I was holding in my hand before I could even get a word of thanks out and he put a screen protector on it for no additional charge. Who does that these days, right? He was super friendly and provided that rare customer service that you hardly ever see or get.
I highly recommend this place not only for the customer service but the overall value of the service provided. Essentially, we spent less on getting our Apple devices fixed than we normally do on a nice family dinner. We will go no where else with the rest of our Apple devices that's for sure! ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in a little while ago because I had shattered my iPad screen. I thought the price was okay ($99 for iPad mini 2 screen replacement) and I went for it.
HUGE MISTAKE. no joke.
it took them a week and a half for the first part. The first time that I came in to pick it up, I saw the home button was extremely sunken in. it was almost impossible to press down and actually go to the home screen and even harder to go to multitasking. The man claimed that it was like that initially. I remember perfectly that the home button rested like it would on a new IPad (the iPad was a little over a year old, and was in perfect condition). I asked them to try to fix it and I later then picked it up at least a week or two later.
The second time I picked it up, there was no difference, in fact it was much worse than what it started with in the first part. At that point I was annoyed because I wasn't able to access my iPad. I then asked them AGAIN to try to fix the home button, but later when I picked it up it was slightly raised more and the guy said that if there was a problem with the special "blocks" underneath the screen. I highly doubt he even tried to fix the iPad, the workmanship proved to be bad as it did take a few weeks to completey screw up the home button.
at that point I was already done with waiting so I took it and I left. The money was not worth it as I got a very crappy screen and a broken home button. I highly suggest that you avoid the store as it is complete rubbish and will do nothing for your iPad or whatever device you decide to bring in.
if there was an option to give 0 stars, I would go for it.
I hope you make the right choice and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy Galaxy S6 Edge screen got cracked and was steadily getting worse so I decided to use my SquareTrade protection plan to get the screen repaired. After calling Cellairis because SquareTrade said they were a sponsored company so I would only have to pay my deductible there, they flat out told me to go somewhere else because they wanted to sell me a screen protector instead.
I decided to go with iFix because I live in Leesburg and they're a 5-10 minute drive from my house. I'm glad I went with them. I did research on what the cost of a Galaxy S6 Edge repair would be and they were pretty close to being spot on to what sources said a Edge repair would be ($275-$300). They had to order the screen since Edge screens are harder to come by, so I had to wait about a week for the part to come in.
When I got my phone back the speakerphone microphone wouldn't work, but Joel was extremely helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I got my phone back yesterday and everything works and the phone looks like it's brand new, which surprised me as I was expecting an Edge screen to be difficult to get looking nice (especially with my history with another cellphone repair shop in Ashburn).
I can't recommend them enough, if you have a SquareTrade protection plan, go to these guys!! They do phenomenal work and they do the work fast; and if you have that SquareTrade protection plan you'll only be paying $75 out of pocket once you get that...
